Sly Fox wrote:Easy now. I thoroughly enjoyed No Country. But then again I am a sucker for Texas border films.
I thought No Country For Old Men was excellent. I like pretty much every Coen movie. I saw the trailer for their next film, Burn After Reading, a couple weeks ago when we went to see Get Smart (which was funny but not great). I think it looks pretty good. Here's the trailer:

Mallet and i are in complete agreement. This is the only reason a movie like this could never make it in my top 20.....

Has anyone seen the movie Shattered? It stars Pierce Brosnan, Gerard Butler, and Maria Bello. It never got much pub but I watched it last night and I thought it was great. It's a psychological thriller and it does the job. Definite two thumbs up!!

LUconn wrote:OK, I just finished up the new(er) rambo. That is the best movie I have seen in many many years. I didn't think they made movies like that anymore. I was almost confused by rather straight forward ending, with it's lack of twist. So gory and so wonderful. The only thing is I thought they killed the main Burmese guy like 10 times. I don't know if that makes me racist or just stupid. If you like 80s shoot em up movies, which is what I was raised on, this is better.
oh man i just finished this....phenominal....i'm a 80's early 90's action junkie...i love them...this was right up my ally but with more gore....that was awesome....HMM I THINK ILL KILL YOU BY RIPPING OUT YOUR THROAT...

watched a handful of movies over the past few nights...

Hellboy 2 - eh it was entertaining. there were some stupid parts but overall i enjoyed it. i wish they'd of expanded on why there are all these goblins and what have you....perhaps they tell you in the first one....anyway...i'd give it a b-

The Bank Job - once again, i was entertained. for some reason i like jason stathem. it wasn't what i thought it was and for a 2 hour movie, not enough happened but otherwise it was ok B-

Hitman - This would of been 90 times better had they used someone else as agent 47. as a fan of the game, i disliked that they showed him with a compassionate side. at least him expressing it (flirting) it wasn't horrible but it wasn't necessarily good either. but it was worth a watch. B-/C+

Rambo - awesome...mindless killing with as luconn put it...an ending...
