after using this for about a day, I think this may be my new browser. I'll still need some kind of ad block thing but it's really really fast.

I've been using the beta of IE8, and it basically has all the same features, and if you really take the time and get used to everything it offers, the new IE has a lot more features than Chrome. Google really hasn't done anything new here.

but its faster ya goob. I don't think anybody was saying it was a landmark achievement. But it's not hogging all of your RAM.

everything google chrome can do you can do with firefox - it's either built in or oyu can get some extensions to do it.

Chrome isn't about doing something different from IE or Firefox -- it's about doing the same things faster. I'm not getting rid of FireFox yet, because Chrome doesn't offer some of the things I like in FF (mostly plugins I'm not sure I want to live without), but I'll use Chrome for a few things -- especially anything that's Java intensive. Chrome seems to handle Javascript better than Firefox does, and it's faster in general than IE8 on my system.

It's funny, at the top of the Yahoo homepage they're pushing for people to download the new Firefox. Taking a shot at Google and Microsoft, perhaps?

only speed differences I have noticed is startup speed. google chrome is a ton fast starting up, of course there is barely anything to start up there. i haven't seen any noticeable differences in website rendering, it might be faster in that, but not enough for me to notice without timing it.

How much does it cost?
The service is free.

What do I do if I am already a GrandCentral user?
