I saw Paula on Dr. Phil a couple times (yeah-psycho babble interests me). You people have renewed my interest in Idol; I have a Clay Aiken Christmas cd. The prioritizing might be hard with correcting schoolwork, finishing homework for Precept (Kay Arthur) study on James-ouch -for once...
I CANNOT give up Mon. night Prison Break (and 24?) plus I miss Dr.House when Idol is on

Prison Break is currently one of only about three shows I even give passing attention to during the week. But it is worth the effort. If you haven't seen the show by now, wait til the DVD comes out because it needs to be seen from beginning to end to fully appreciate it. You could start now and follow along but the impact wouldn't be as great.

AS for AI, everytime you guys make reference to it all I can think of is 'The Answer'.

Last night's show stunk. Mandissa did sing a Gospel song "I'm gonna praise Him," by Kirk Franklin...I think. Simon thought she was being "Self indulgent." It wasn't her best performance but I'm not sure Idol is the best stage to bring out the Christian Music. Chris also sang a song by Creed (They're supposed to be Christian...I think.) Simon also thought he was "self indulgent." Hmmm.. I'm guessing Simon is not a fan of that Genre.

I actually did catch a few minutes last night. The gospel song that girl sang is actually by a group called Mary Mary off Toby Mac's label.

From what I saw nobody really was that good with the possible exception of the funny looking guy at the end of the show.

Very ordinary night. I suspect Lisa gets the cut this week. In spite of Simon's remarks, Bucky actually stepped it up a notch.

Yeah... the song is called "Shackles" by Mary Mary. They've been out a while. Mandisa got shafted. The chick dancing like a hoochie got props and Mandisa was told by Seacrest "It's a personal song". NO!!! It's not a personal song... It's a song.

I wish they would have just talked to her about her voice or dance or crowd participation... don't talk about the content of the lyrics... they don't do that for others... they didn't tell Paris "You danced like a prostitue tonight..." Only Simon came close by saying that she looked like a 17 year old trying to be Beyonce.

Okay, I'm done :)

I couldn't agree with you more.

The show ain't "American Choir Girl." You guys are killing me! Next thing you'll talk about is how many REPS that dance would have cost her. Geesh--she put on a good show and the dance matched the song.

I'm all about her singing a christian song...but I just dont think I would have done that one....I mean she was talking for the first part of it, and think about the reaction if someone else would have done a secular song and talked during the first part of it....they would have gotten blasted on both.....She can sing, so I would have just rather seen her do a christian song that could show her range....but they all pretty much sucked last week

Even Chris, he could have picked a ton of other Creed songs to show a range yet he rather yell....I still think he and Taylor are the favorites though

I resemble that remark!

The state of NC must have everyone voting between Bucky, Kellie (OVER-RATED), and Chris.

How about Kellie actually pulling off a Queen song. Stiletto heels and leather, anyone?

I didn't care for the Queen music. Most people think Bucky getting the ax tonight.

I actually watched last night because I had a rare Tuesday off. Bucky & Ace were both dreadful. The rest were fairly pedestrian. Nobody came close to capturing the essence of Freddy.

I am not an Idol fan but had I known there woulb be some Queen tunes I would have TIVO'd the thing. Did anyone do Fat Bottom Girls? Killer Queen? Best Friend?

I did see the guy sing At The Copa... I do a MUCH better version

I agree with the above... I also thought Paris looked out of her element. I'll be pleased when she finally goes... it'll be 3 weeks or so though.

Bucky did Fat-Bottomed Girls so poorly it was hardly recognizable. That's why he is likely toast.

Nobody did Killer Queen or We are the Champions (believe it or not).

I'm thinking it's Ace tonight... I believe Bucky will go soon but ACE seems to be begging for support at this point...

Did anyone else notice the eye liner they put on the guys (Mainly Ace and Chris) last night? I thought it looked stupid. Just my opinion....

I wonder what Brokeback thought of that...

Just like the ethnic viewers did not turn out for country week, the rednecks did not tune in for Queen week. Bye bye, Bucky.

I was happy with the results. Wish Elliot was not in the bottom three and so want Kelly Pickler gone. Just what America needs another ditzy blonde to represent it!

3 thoughts about tonight:

1. Elliott is the best singer in the contest IMO.
2. Paula cried (I am so sick of her btw).
3. Chris finished the show well and I would buy his version of that song.
