I never claimed this. I just claimed to have more influence and experience in politics than you and Jbock...which is 100% truth.

cjsweat wrote: You bring up some crazy site....what's your point? Every candidate has those. Ron Paul has the worst of them. He has Alex Jones and Jesse Ventura campaigning for him. Those guys are idiots.

The real problem with Con(spiracist) Paul is that Obama wants him to win because Obama will crush him. I was in politics for several years and I know these elections. I know my sources and I don't need youtube, FoxNews, CNN or MSN to tell me what's going to happen with a candidate. I could make one phone call tonight, and have a poll showing you why Trump could win by tomorrow afternoon. Just because you think you "know" politics doesn't mean anything until you are in politics.
So much in this post...

First, Alex Jones and Jessie Ventura might be nuts, but they are not idiots. They are both entertainers, and cater to an unreached audience politically. Alex Jones openly admits that, so do your homework. Study. Also, wasn't Ventura a governor somewhere?

It is also ironic you support the guy that ran on a platform of trying to prove Obama was born in Kenya.....that is about as looney as as 9/11 truthers.

I am pretty sure that Obama would crush Trump as badly as you assume Obama would crush Paul. You are giving this entertainer too much credit. His positive, ergo his support from the GOP is that he is a sell out and would do as he is told by GOP backers....that is your poll criteria, and it is not credible at that.

Just because you are in politics doesn't mean you're any better prepared to argue about politics....Politics, is one thing. Money....now back to the nonsense at hand.
+1..... First thing first, if sweat wants to support trump thats his right as is jbocks love for Paul. The problem is with a lot of he blood on this board is a lot of statements are made that if you do not agree with my view you are an idiot. Where is the respect people? There are plenty of people on this board who have been through the ringer and know quite a bit but a young college student wants to impose their will and be brash. I get It. I was once like that as well. Sometimes you need to step back and think before speaking. I love the fact that the young guys are full of pee and vinegar but keep it all in perspective.

Sweat you bring up roanoke politics and working on campaigns and name dropping etc. good for you for being active but it's not hard to get involved. I was born and raised in Roanoke and worked with the GOP for years on many campaigns both for local and statewide elections. All I did was volunteer and grew from there. I rubbed elbows with the top brass of the virginia GOP but im no expert . So though you name drop a lot as dickens said does not make you an expert which is the heir you exude. You also bring up Allen Trigger? A community college professor and political blogger but you talk bad of Ron Paul supporters? C'mon bro! Look it's all good to express your views and be a young activist but please get off the I know it all train. You will learn one day when you get my age that sometimes it best to express your views in a different light. Just be respectful guys! Carry on!

P.S. I have no idea who I'm supporting so if anyone wants to sway me one way or the other PM me because I'm not impressed with anyone

ha, I love how your best comeback is a smiley.

You're right. It isn't hard to get involved, which is great. However, I have been more than just involved and I've done it in a non-traditional way. I tend to think that deserves some credit.

I don't claim to be an expert either, I know that I'm not. All I'm claiming is to have more experience than two certain members on the board.

He is a community college professor, but he's also much more than that. His endorsements have a huge effect on Roanoke Valley races. Additionally, his top students go from Christine O'Donnell's campaign manager to guys running PAC's, I happen to be in that group. It's a pretty prestigious group. I don't claim to know everything about politics but I have some experience projecting races. That's why I can't stand it when people like JBock and Haize get on here, and talk about Trump not having a chance when that simply isn't true.

The thing is sweat all you know about haize and jbock is what you read on this board. The same goes with those guys. All I'm saying is when you make bold statements like about the poll back it up to prove all others wrong. If not then don't say a thing. You have to learn to pick your battles. As far as doing things politically in a traditional or non traditional way both are fine. I'm not gonna pat you on the back for doing it non traditionally as either way can be equally effective. Kept doing your thing but just be prepared for people to attack you when you make bold unfounded statements at times. Just keep it on topic and notbtet personal. Carry on! I need to get outside and go for a run!

Yeah, when i started on here sometimes I said crazy things just to goof around. But I then realized if I wanted to be taken seriously, I had to be serious and make it clear when I was joking.

I hold no animosity to you sweat. I'm sure you're a great guy to have a cafe with. But I'm passionate about my politics and you haven't done or said anything to counter my arguments.

While I'm not a public official, I have worked as a political consultant

That's what I've been waiting for. I was a campaign manager in Roanoke City (which is extremely liberal), we took 40% of the vote against a three term incumbent. Not anything great but considering the district, not shabby. Additionally, I was volunteer coordinator and event coordinator for a 5th Congressional district primary campaign. Candidate had absolutely zero political experience and we took second to Robert Hurt. My first job was as a volunteer coordinator in the 17th district race, which featured Bill Cleavland, Chris Head and three others. Additionally, I ran a poll in the 2009 governor race which projected results in the Roanoke Valley.

I also do not take anything personal on here. haha.

Volunteer Coordinator is a staff position that puts you in charge of all volunteers, call centers and running those tiring door knocking sessions on Saturday mornings. Their also in charge of the grass roots part of the campaign.

Why would anyone think Donald Trump can lead a nation? He led a football league that had Herschel Walker into the ground in 4 years. Imagine what he could do with a debt stricken country!
