Anybody been keeping up with the Walking Dead? There's a break until Feb, but this last episode was a doozy. I don't want to play spoiler for anybody who hasn't watched yet but man, it was so cleverly crafted I was just in shock. As much as you can be over a fictional TV show anyway. In fact if you haven't seen it yet don't read on...

The story arch had really seemed to be in a holding pattern and was getting kind of stale, but it was setting up a really great payoff. I normally can spot such obvious "twists" but the final scene has you conflicted with so much mixed emotion about what is going on you just don't see it coming. Just really really good writing.

The "mid-season finale" was great. I'm just upset about waiting until February for it to come back.
