Ok, data shows that AT&T is far from great when it comes to coverage and not even close (maybe even half) in comparison to VZ. Take 10 minutes to compare AT&T's plans to ANY other carrier out there and you'll see how much more it costs...literally 40% higher then other carriers for the same plan.

You're still willing to call people that leave AT&T to go to VZ to get the same phone at a cheaper price per month with much better coverage....morons? Hmmmmmmm.....ok!

Sprint has a big announcement on Feb 7.....it will make "the impossible possible and a industry first" and David Blane will be there....having him there makes me nervous b/c that means it's not a big announcement but rather something minor and they are trying to distract the attendees. It cant be a CDMA iPhone b/c VZ already announced that. It's to soon for the 4G iPhone 5.....maybe it's a 4G iPad. VZ did get the iPad before they got the iPhone.


What's crazy is Sprint cant keep secrets (heck, they have their yearly roadmaps leaked) but they have managed to keep this one very hush hush. It could be voice/data at the same time on 3G....which isnt really that big of a deal but it might save their butts, but they dont have but 1 device that can do this right now. My final guess is a 4G iPad....the timing would make sense b/c the iPad was released around that time in 2010....VZ got the iPad before they got the iPhone and I fully expect them to get a 4G iPhone 5.

There are some rumors about them offering one data price and allowing multiple devices on that data plan. It makes sense and would open up the flood gates to the tablet market....and other carriers will follow suit, but if this is about the iPad theres no way they offer this now.

It'll be interesting, I have no clue though.

So I have a little dilemma. Bought my wife the 64gig Ipad,non 3G. I have 6 days left until I can return it with full refund. Her birthday is Feb 3. Should I wait for the announcement since I have Sprint and return the Ipad, or just keep it?

return it, then go back and and buy it again if nothing happens on the ipad front. i assume returns are accepted on those things.

It's not going to be a iPad announcement. My logic is correct but they've invited a lot of Android blog sites which rules out an Apple announcement. Now, it could very well be tablet related which I'm pretty much expected now. Although there is a lot of talk about a 3D phone being released which is a snooze to me unless it's dual core...then I only care about that

Any 3D phones have to be either dualcore or quadcore ... that latter was suck up battery life like nobody's business. I'd expect considerably more Dualcoare products moving forward.

I have no idea what Sprint is announcing about have a hunch that hardware is not going to be the biggest deal.
