I've got an FM transmitter, it works just fine unless you're an audiophile.

What would your definition of an audiophile be, someone who's not hearing impaired? It's basically a last resort piece of technology.

We all have a bunch of apps, but ones do you use the most, or are the most practical for othersI've downloaded 8 or 9 but my favorites are MLB At Bat, and Need For Speed Undercover. NFSU is buggy with the new 3.0 software though and needs an update because it frequently crashes or gets choppy. Other than that though, it is a really good game. Facebook is decent but could be better. Flight Control is a pretty fun game for the price. Pandora radio is a decent app, but with the ipod touch I have to be in a wifi area to use it and that is not that often (no need to use it at home.)

My gut reaction was to say it's fake because there's nothing else like it really. But there's some other videos for "augmented reality" that seem legit enough.

GPS (on any device that relies solely on it) never knows what direction you're going until you move enough for it to track with the satellites. With the electronic compass, it knows exactly which direction you're facing at all times. Works quite well.

rueful wrote:Yes, I think you made a solid call. I was upgrading from an original iPhone to a 3GS so the newer features were worth it for me. From a 3G? Wouldn't it be easier to have a list of the closest subway stations and the direction that it's in, so you don't have to do a 360 turn around you current locale to find it?
