You are bananas. It is the best sirloin you can get at a national chain that's not an absurd price like Ruth's Chris. And it's always undercooked which you have to appreciate unlike every other steakhouse that thinks no matter what you said they should cook it medium-well or well done. And the aussie fries are just unbeatable in terms of the cheese fries category. That's really the only thing I ever get there though. The rest of their food might suck.

i agree 100%. no way outback makes the #1 seed. texas roadhouse is much more consistent. outback used to be a favorite, but has gone way down hill. definitely not "the best sirloin" available at a decent price. texas roadhouse.

I'm going to agree on Texas Roadhouse as being much better and very consistent. Probably the best in the price range I've been to is Texas Land and Cattle but they haven't expanded into most areas yet. The one in Winston-Salem is very good.

We never go to Winston but happened to ride past it when we were looking for a place to eat last summer with my parents when my grandfather was in the hospital. The food was very good as was the service. We've been back since and weren't disappointed. You should check it out if you're on that side of town and looking for a decent dinner.

That's a good question. I can't think of any time that I've actually chosen sirloin over all the other cuts of meat out there. I usually go with NY strip, filet or ribeye.

seriously, spend the extra 5 bucks and get a decent cut of meat....if you go out once a month thats 60 bucks a year to eat a much better cut of meat each time you go out....def worth it...

outbacks steaks taste better but TR does a much better job of cooking the steak the way you ordered it....

That's the one thing I don't get about outback. They come out and tell you that their steaks are cooked at a level below what you're used to when you order it a particular way. Well if you guys are aware of that, why don't you adjust it to cook it to what I freaking asked for?

the ones i go to i have the physically explain what medium rare is to them...and i generally send it back at least 1/2 the time i go there...

the reason they are too cook it a step below is because a steak will still cook internally while its resting or while its sitting there....if they are too efficient then you get an underdone steak.

no way man. i've never had an outback special that wasn't overcooked. i get the sirloin and shrimp at texas often, and it has been far from anything but great, everytime.
