Five are dead after the fact. Dems don't want a real investigation. It's a game they can't win.

Surely politicians will politicize. When has that not been the case. Either way, this one, looks to work against the Dems. It's ripe for conspiracy. Five dead cops after the fact. My guess is this one spins against them.

Ok ok, let’s say I entertain the conspiracy angle, couldn’t I just as easily say the GOP is picking them off for testifying against them? Maybe they knew why Trump wouldn’t call in the national guard, etc.

…but there’s no basis for any of that speculation. It’s just as likely to be true as what you’re suggesting. The only reason this one “looks to work against the Dems” to you is because you’ve already decided they’re the bad guys.

Hey, if the Dems think they can spin it their way, then they'll be sure to start an official investigation. I'd bet against it though. Dems are pushing this 1/6 thing, with 5 cops dead after the fact.

“I’d bet against the Dems starting an official investigation into this since they’re already doing an official investigation into it.”

You make no sense. It’s like this weird exercise where you pick a conclusion first and see if you can do enough mental gymnastics to try to make it make sense.

I am going to be honest, I am never 100% sure if @paradox is serious or just playing some kind of weird devil's advocate.

Politics is a spectator sport. 5 dead cops is probably nothing more than a very strange phenomenon. Nevertheless, it plays into conspiracists hands. That part is amusing. Dems fit the crime.

I still don’t see how you come up with “Dems fit the crime,” unless you’ve decided first that they are the bad guys and are now trying to twist everything to fit that stance.

The Dems are the ones investigating this whole mess while the GOP refuses and censures their own party members who think it should be investigated. Those are the facts. How do we go from that to the Dems are killing police officers who would be potential witnesses? Again, if we want to follow the conspiracy train, it makes a whole heckuva lot more sense to think that the people who are railing against even the idea of an investigation would be the ones silencing people.

Again, I don’t believe any of this to be true, but I’m really hoping you can see how your biases are warping your perceptions.

For your sake, I sincerely hope there will never be a controversy pinned on the Biden Administration. Angst is not a good thing. And consequently, the laughter is not on your side.

You shouldn't be listening to me anyhow. What do I know? The person you should be listening to is Cathie Wood. If you would've taken her advice last Friday and bought Robinhood at 34.00, you would've doubled your money by now. Not too shabby.

If I had a nickel for every time someone on here tried to pull the “you must love Biden” card, I’d have way too many nickels. I’ll happily call out Biden. Let me know when the next scandal hits, I’ll be here with bells on.

You’re right, this is getting under my skin. It’s just proving another point of frustration/disillusionment with how the mindsets of so many conservative Christians operate. I keep hoping to be proven wrong, but it’s just too rare.

I’m going to try to be more choosy with my engagement on here. As much as I want to be a part of these conversations, I’m not trying to be stressed out about a message board.

And yet, I went right on Twitter and see this, as if being directly called out lol:

Sorry for being un-gracious in my tone. My frustrations are my own and not something to mistreat others over.

Once you realize the #StopTheSteal and Trump worshipping crowd are cult members you’ll quickly realize how they are able to logically justify in their minds all their insanity.

Not interested in Trump. This was about speculation & how the Dems are overdue to have a conspiracy played against them. It already started. Politics is a bloodsport. Should be interesting.

Biden announces big EV plans...invites all the big automakers minus the undisputed leader Tesla/Musk. What gives? Too much of a free thinker? Non-union? What else? ...Interesting stuff.

Technically only Ford, GM, and Stellantis were invited, so some other big names (Toyota, Honda, etc) were omitted as well. Still, Tesla seems like an obvious choice for an event like this. One explanation I’ve seen is that the event was about these companies agreeing to transition to EVs, which obviously Tesla wouldn’t need to do.

Honda & Toyota are Japanese-owned. Ford, GM, and Tesla are the domestic companies that are heavily invested in EV. Tesla is far and away the EV leader not only domestically, but globally.

Stellantis’ inclusion is a bit out of left field. What’s probably behind Ford and GM’s inclusion is lobbying dollars more than anything.

Probably more Toyota and Honda assembly work done by Americians than GM and Ford. Beware of the label US based company. Tesla is well on its way to becoming a Chinese car company.

Right now China produces 75 percent of rear earth materials needed for batteries. Slave and child labor involved in it's mining.

Not sure where you're going w/China thing on this one. Musk is definitely the big tech giant who's not like the others. Free-market guy w/liberatarian spirit. Moved some projects & operations from CA & into Texas in protest of Newsome's authoritarianism. He also called-out Bezos & Amazon for initially suppressing former NY Times reporter Alex Berenson's C19 Unreported Truths.

Everything is China to TH. Sometimes it's warranted and other times it's not.

And @paradox musk is getting plenty of money from the government so it is odd Tesla wasn't invited but I think you may have answered your own question as to why. Polticians are petty. Especially career polticians.
