Maybe I am a tad on the naive end, but how can Two Face still be alive? Wouldn't he put an end to the farce that Batman was the villian/ More importantly if he were alive wouldnt he go out of his way to ruin his White Knight image? He seemed a tad on the bitter side about the whole burned face, girlfriend blowing up thing (and really who can blame him?) The only way blaming Batman would work would be if he were dead. NOW if he came back he would clear Batman of his "wrongdoings" but that is the only way I can see it working. As for the Joker, you can't bring in someone else to play the role after the person who just played it NAILED it. Loved the movie will see it again!

I was shocked that they killed off Harvey -- I figured that he'd be the villain in the next movie for sure. Kinda hoping he pulls a Gordon and winds up alive.

And Bane has been in a Batman movie -- he was Mr. Freeze's muscle as I recall. Same movie that brought us Poison Ivy. The one most people want to forget all about.

I'd like to see a new take on Poison Ivy, and a new take on the Riddler as well. Or ....... KGBeast, anyone? (yes, I'm that old. I've got the KGBeast comics around here somewhere, along with the NKVDemon).

I've read Poison Ivy could come back as an eco-terrorist.

Yes...I am VERY late to this party...seeing the movie on DVD today. All I can say is...WOW! Ledger was the best villain EVER. I also saw Scarecrow in the early Batman impostor scene...and I was surprised the real Batman did not take notice.

I like Supe's speculation about Mr. Reese/Mysteries...but news over this past couple of weeks speculates EDDIE MURPHY as the Riddler.

Anyhow...GREAT MOVIE.

I noticed that too. whats the deal with that? would he come back as a tag team with someone else? I'm kind of curious why he was just in that scene and if that was a hint that he would be back or not.

I'm pretty sure they checked Dent's pulse and determined that he was dead.

I heard Eddie Murphy is going to be Riddler in the next one and I also heard the kid from the transformers movie, can't remember his name right now and I don't feel like looking it up, is going to be Robin. That's just what I heard. I don't know if there is any validity to those rumors.

yeah that article was confirmed to be completely false. I think we talked about this in another thread...so those rumors were just that, rumors....they haven't even finalized a script

I missed that they were tied up. I would have though the Dark Knight would have made a bigger deal out of the capture, though...given the havoc he wrought in the first movie.

Nah. Batman knew he was just a pawn in The Shadow League's game. On his own he was just another psychopath in Gotham.

Got this flick on DVD for Christmas. I also have a 720p video file of the movie. Ahem. Anyway, I'll get rid of them both to get it on Blu-Ray. Love it.

I think they did a lot of postproduction junk on his voice. It really is ridiculous sounding.

True. I kept hoping he'd drive the Batmobile up to a Burger King drive-thru and try to order a Whopper in that voice.

How about the BK "King" as the next villain?

Why not? He'd be the creepiest villain yet.

I disagree. I think if Batman tried to play up his role in the capture, he'd only "inspire" others to take up his civics-minded cause. And we saw how those Faux-Batmans turned out during the beginning of the movie.

But there's still one question that I want to know the answer to... why did Batman have to take the heat for what Harvey did? Why not blame the Joker?

And what happened after Batman left the party to save Rachel? Did the Joker and his henchmen just leave?
