I'm seriously down with SRV as well. If you are ever in Austin, there's a statue by Town Lake. I used to catch Sixpence all the time before they signed nationally on Sixth Street and at Stubbs.

Eric Johnson? You're kidding right? If you call yourself a guitar player, IMHO, there are other players you should know about, and EJ would be one of them. It would be like if you were a history teacher and didn't know much history. "Cliffs of Dover"? A great example of awesome tone.

Here's another one that almost landed in my hands. It's a 78 Les Paul Artisian with 3 humbuckers. Very sweet indeed.

OK...I think I may have figured this thing out...at least I hope. I came very close to getting this 78 Gibson Les Paul Artisian about 3 months back. The collector is a local guy who specializes in mandolins, but gets other pieces every now and then.

I can't keep my eyes away from Tonesmith though. I love that retro bigsby and it has so many tonal variations.
