I'm hoping we can go by MBO Stadium (where Toronto FC is playing). We couldn't get a tour because it isn't finished, but I want to go by there.

Let me know when you guys take a field trip to Houston. One of your own runs Reliant Stadium so I know it has to be in your rotation.

A lot of where the trips are is where there are connections. We had some people with connections up here, that's why we're here. There was SOMEONE with connections to spring training, that's why they went there.

The other 497 class is off to SEC country tomorrow...So I will be gone from the board for most of the trip...For those of you that have pm me about gestures to be sent towards Coach Saban I will try to honor your request....I am going to stop by the ATL on Saturday and more than likely enter the Georgia Dome for the Final Four (Why did UNC get on the bus with 5 mins to go against G-town     )...All and all it should be a good learning experience... I think I more excited about hearing Major Applewhite the new O-Cord speak as well as former head coach Gene Stallings then anybody else...

I'm friggin going curling tomorrow. This should be more than interesting.

It's going to be an international match: Four Canadians vs Four Americans.

ha...awesome...I worked at a camp in Maine and worked with a guy that won the gold medal for curling at the Jr Canada games....my claim to fame

Canada is great though....maybe I picked the wrong major...we have no real good profs and we don't get any good trips.....

It's been fun so far. We picked up two more guys today and our professor so it should be a good week. I added four albums of picturs on Facebook already.

The two girls on the trip backed out. There was originally 14 of us and when the trip came around there was only 8.

what is it- 4 deg up there?

watch out for rogue polar bears . I hear they have a taste for nubile young boys such as yourself. keep a spear handy

It was two cars, not a van.

It was like 8 or so today.

Curling sucked.

I wouldn't fall down nearly as much. I ate it hard when we first got on the ice. I got more comfortable as time went on. I give it two hours before the picture I just put on Facebook gets on here.

Hockey Hall of Fame and Air Canada Center tomorrow.

That's pretty cool, SuperJon. How did you like the curling. Did you get to use the little broom.

I didn't like it too much. I sucked so that was part of it. Well, I didn't suck too bad, but I couldn't get the hang of it as well as I'd like. My accuracy was good but it's so hard to get the speed part down. The sweeping is kind of weird too. I'll leave it to the Canadians.

Look in our Flamefans group, he's the Swiss Army. Speaking of which, in my specialized publications class, one guy and I were having all sorts of fun with headlines:
Swiss Army armed with more than just knives, are they a nuclear threat?
Switzerland tired of being neutral, invades Germany: France Surrenders, Sweden declares Neutrality

The Air Canada Center was flat out amazing. They've got some insanely nice stuff in there We were able to see the video room where their video guys do all of their work (Lib's office might be bigger, but they have more stuff). We got to see things from floor level, third level, and sixth level. Then we were able to go into the executive board room that overlooks everything and talk to one of the people in marketing for Toronto FC and another one for the Raptors. It was probably the highlight of the trip.
