I use Flashpeak Slimbrowser instead of IE and like it a lot better than Firefox.

Flashpeak Slimbrowser, as well as many other "browsers" are just new front-ends for the IE rendering engine. Out of all the reasons to hate IE, it's rendering engine is number one. It's so far from standards compliant that it's become a joke among geeks and web designers. Unfortunately, so many people use it since it's the default in Windows, that the web has been mutilated to comply.

W3C standards compliance is where it's at. And for that, Firefox, Safari, Opera and the real alternative browsers are leading the way.
