BLWall, I'm assuming you had a good experience with cheap carribean? Anything to watch out for? Hidden fees?
we used cheapcarribean for our honeymoon and had a great experience with them. We had a great deal with ours and they were very helpful with throwing in perks for "honeymoon" and all that junk

We also considered going to Costa Rica and staying at at one of the hot springs resorts near the Arenal Volcano, but I lost my passport from when I went there in 2000, and didn't feel like going through all the trouble of getting a new one. We finally went to a travel agent to get some ideas, and she suggested Lake Tahoe, which we went during the summer. The trip was unbelievable and I'm definitely glad we went. We pretty much stayed in the area for the whole week except for a couple of days where we went to San Francisco/Cal Coast and Virginia City in Nevada. If I would've changed anything we would have went camping a couple of days at Emerald Bay (southern end of Tahoe) and Yosemite National Park (would've saved money that way as well). I would definitely check out Tahoe and Costa Rica online.
Tahoe is always a good idea. My gf lived most of her life around that area, she misses it pretty badly. Oh well when I strike it rich I'll move out there! It's a truly beautiful place.

Thanks Rue! That's most likely how I'll be booking mine in a couple months. Or the week before, depending on how bad I procrastinate

Like Rue said, they were very helpful. Nothing hidden. All taxes, including airport crap, & surcharges were included in the price we paid upfront (daily internet, lounge chairs on the private beach, etc...).

Does anyone have any information on Sandal's resorts? For them? Against them? Some of you brought up hidden fee agendas... any insight? I'm looking for a honeymoon too! Haha

Way, way overpriced.
Really? How/where do I find a good deal?

We did Carlsbad Caverns back in '86. Nothing says true love like a bat cave. We even saw Kenny Rogers there. And renting that '86 Mustang was one sweet ride from El Paso to Carlsbad and back.

Our 10th is in April. Considering Bermuda, but might opt to take a week in the Charleston and Savannah areas. Go all 5 star and live like the rich and famous... that is what we did for our honeymoon, though we were in Montreal and Quebec City.
Stick with Charleston the whole time. Don't bother with Savannah; it's a dump compared to Charleston. Take a day trip to Savannah for a meal (lunch) at Lady and Sons, but don't bother staying overnight.

Thanks for the info. I never mind getting advice, but always forget to ask.

Right off the coast of Haiti is a little island called Tortuga. Ever heard of it? Probably cheap, too.
