That is a very good point. Also, for a minute, I was thinking Barack Obama became a FlameFan member when you quoted him.

Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised if we went into Venezuela at some point by 2020. We seem to go after places that have some black gold/Texas Tea. And as long as we maintain bases and troops in both Iraq and Afghansistan, an attack on Iran is not out of the realm of possibility. I honestly believe that if Iraq hadn't become the quagmire that it did, Bush would've gone into Iran.

It's funny, all this seemed so important at one time.

So Obama is required by law to cease and desist all military action within a few days unless we declare war or Congress issues a resolution. Think that'll happen, or will the administration just ignore federal law like they always do?

And I always knew Gadahfi would just wait this out and stay in power. This whole thing was just absurd.

I think it's really funny how Republicans are bringing up the War Powers Act... when they were perfectly okay with letting Bush ignore it.

Personally, I find the War Powers Act to be unconstitutional.
