I can honestly say I didnt get anything. However, A|X had a 60% off sale and I treated myself kindly, also Jos. A Bank had a huge sale so I did there as well. Bought another Bluetooth headset for around the house. A few new Magazine subscriptions (Maxim...it was 4 bucks a year give me a break, road and track, Entrepreneur Magazine). So all in all I had a good Christmas....but I have nobody to thank but myself for that :D Me against the world baby 8)

$100 for a sweater is absolutely absurd
I work for Ralph Lauren. $100 wouldn't buy you our cheapest sweater unless it was on sale. Thank goodness for employee discounts.

And thank goodness for the South Carolina Outlets along I-85, where I stop by RL every time and get myself a shirt for 7 bucks. It is quite nice.

Have you been to the outlet mall near or in (can't remember which one it is) Spartanburg? I stopped there once on a trip - I'm glad I didn't have a credit card then!

I'm guessing your not jumping on the Brooks Brothers 3 dress shirts for $135

You get what you pay for. BB shirts have a lifetime warranty. If a shirt develops some wear you take it in to a store and they'll let you pick out another shirt, no questions asked. I havent reached the point where I can afford BB but if I had the cash I would.

to me that would be the only reason why it would be worth spending that kind of money on shirts

Nope, I've gone online to buy some dress shirts for $8.99-14.99 (and most of them I got on the lower end of that range) that I have had for at least 7 years now with no sign of wear. Now, I don't wear a dress shirt daily, but I wear it enough to the point where I like to have several different kinds. If I were to wear one every day for work, I would only wear each one once every two weeks, so minimal wear and tear on them. So really I don't see the value in paying such a price premium for something I'd rarely use in my entire life.

Ya, that's the one I'm talking about. There's a Cracker Barrel there with the Outlets.
Ya... I do my shopping at Kohl's when there isn't an Outlet to hit up. There was a 70-80% off store in GA that I went to a few times. That place sold all name brand stuff like it was Wal-Mart material... I'm talking Perry Ellis, Ralph Lauren, and others but I can't remember the names of them. It was magnificent .

And I still stand by my statement that Lynchburg needs an outlet mall. It would do a killing here.

Bob, which LG models were they? I've been looking at a few of them and a Samsung

And to add to the above conversation. Perry Ellis now has the best outlet store out of all the brands. Everything in every outlet store is $20...the best place to get work clothes, sweaters etc on the cheap and fairly good quality. I wear PE about every day to work.

The reactions that I got from my wife about her Eagles/Broncos tickets for yesterday...the reaction from my 8 year old about his flyers tickets and then my 5 year old telling me that he didn't need anything for Christmas because it wasn't his birthday, but that it was Jesus'. That made anything that I received inconsequential.

The best things I seem to get these days are the memories! With a 6yr old and a 4 yr old, there is no shortage of exclamations, funny quotes, and equally funny antics.

The pair of Jeans, 2 shirts, a sweater, book, running socks (smartwool, the best) were appreciated, but the best gift was from my wife. Remembering that our 4 yr old boy and I have had some bonding time playing with and watching trains and that I have been an O. Winston Link fan for many years, she thought that a nicely framed print would be a winner... and it was.
