Well no...its about fun and fellowship (and good combat). Al ot of people wil often just sit and watch (and just in case anybody is THINKING it...no there isnt pointing and laughing). College for a Weekend is probably the biggest opportunity for exposure for the club. Usually there are triple the usual number of people there (on a typical saturday you get around 20 folks participating) when there is an event during College For a Weekend and some people that actually eventually come to Liberty come back and participate in the club upon their arrival. I know that a couple years ago they were invited to be in Christmas convo...

Well considering that there are girls in the club (many of who are probably some of the better fighters in the club) care does have to be taken. Come out to an event and check it out (instead of simply ragging on it from the comfort of your computer). Its a lot of fun. I wont be out there this weekend because I'll be off broadcasting a game

You could even hire Adam Godwin and Mo from the Nickelodeon show "Guts " from the early 90's. That'd be a nasty combo right there.

Sorry, I was thinking they fill in as a Play by Play team. Although theres a good chance the leaders wouldnt be able to get Mo to come do that. Maybe when you retire you can do some play by play for them. Not sure if youve dabbled in fight broadcasting, but it could open up to UFC and other Gladitorial Combat productions.

Hey chill out its kinda cool. Guys get together and play football all the time. But what happens at the end of a game? You go home and shower and thats it. Here, you have more than an afternoon game.

Theres opportunity to create an enigma in the SFC ring. Becoming a legend in Sword Fighting is a good deal more productive than other things people do here, and I can carry my dominance throughout the campus by wearing a kilt and always being armed.

I remember when Zach asked the VMI Quiz Bowl team if they wanted to "sword fight" him. They were more than willing to oblige, but they warned Zach that when they play, they use REAL swords, not something made out of PVP pipe and duct tape. Of course, Zach backed down and said "thanks but no thanks."
