i wonder if obama will really do that...I wouldn't be surprised...but there are some very good reasons why that policy exists....and i think obama may change how he feels about certain things once he gets full reports about different issues...he has already done that with Iraq..though the media doesn't cover it that way...he says he is going for a withdrawal of troops from Iraq as soon as it is safe for the Iraqi forces to take over...which is pretty open ended...whereas before he just said he wanted the troops out, and fast....so it will be interesting...that is for sure

It all depends on who he listens to. There are many retired generals/colonels/military-uppities who think the don't ask don't tell needs to be done away with and that homosexuals do not affect the military at all, and I'm sure there are some current high-ranking officers who feel that way. And if this is who Obama listens to, then I don't see that policy lasting too much longer. The problem is, these generals are so far-removed from the trenches, I don't think they're the best people to listen to.

It is very similar to the mentality of those in this clip:

Sounds like the beginning of a world like George Orwell's 1984, or Animal Farm where people blindly follow one leader.

Oh, and by the way, the latest estimates for the crowd size at the inauguration is down to about 800,000. Not that it's a small crowd, but nowhere near the 2 million they've been reporting.

And the tv ratings were not as high as Reagan's was in '81.

Obama lifts restrictions on abortion funding

Of course, Obama waited til Friday to attempt to sweep it under the weekly news cycle.
there we go...something i finally completely disagree with and am angry about...not only for the fact that I am completely against abortion, but also because I do not think government should be funding anything and everything under the sun...

Yep. We knew abortion funding and embryonic stem cell research were coming and I knew it'd make me angry.

So on day 1 he batted 1.000 for me, on day 2 he went .500 and on day 3 he struck out. Unfortunately for him, day 3 is more heavily weighted than the others so I can't leave his average at .500. I'm sure he's only going to slip more from here.

What national interests of ours are preserved by funding abortions in other countries? I'd love for a Christian Obama supporter to answer that one for me. Please justify this action to me.

Exactly, you always hear pro-choicers say "well, nobody's pro-abortion". And you think to yourself, well maybe. But how is this action anything but pro-abortion? It's allowing federal money to fund organizations that perform abortions in other countries! The only way to justify it is that you would like more abortions and you don't even care if it's in your country.

Yes, but can he catch a football and throw a strike? Bush did...and John Kerry couldn't.

Meh. Those guys were soft. I want to see him take a hard foul and then go inside with his tucked in shirt on the next play.

After watching Barry bowl, the first pitch of the MLB season should be pretty entertaining!

Thank you for saying this. I jump at every chance I get to post these. They make me laugh every single time. And I've seen them hundreds of times.
