I have the title so I don't have to buy it back. I guess I could turn down their check to pay for my damages but I think they gave me a really good deal. I looked at Kelly Blue Book and it was a lot more than what they said I would get for a TrailBlazer in perfect condition. Plus I don't want the hastle not to mention I wouldn't want to be down to 1 car for an extended period while it got fixed. Plus I don't ever want to drive that vehicle again. Getting into it to retrieve my valuables was almost enough to make me need psycho-therapy.

no no no....take the check...which means they now have the title and then say you want to buy it back...when this happened to me, they gave me a check for $15,000 (the price if it was in good condition and allowed me to get something different) and I bought it back for less then $6,000 (the price it's worth now)

I am not sure if they will let me do that. How long would I wait before I would buy it back? Am I missing something here?

Also was your vehicle totaled? That might make a diff. My guy told me the repairs would be a lot more than the check they are cutting for me.

Dodge Intrepid.

Plenty of leg room for us big guys, good on gas mileage and drives like a sports car. Way to go. But glad to see you're safe!

Thanks TD. I test drove the intrepid back when I bought our other Maxima in 2000. I liked it but it is a little to sporty. 95% sure the Maxima is it. Although I do like the way the new Camry looks.

Man Medic, you must think I am rich! That thing costs more than my SUV on the low end! I do like it though. Whenever we see one we always stare at it for a long time. Maybe we will take out a 30 year loan and buy one

AG, I do appreciate the double entendra. I get it, the car as a phallic symbol....But really, we are leaning toward the Max with a possibility of the Cam.

SCAR Check out todays USA TODAY I believe they posted the "Best Cars" today. (It may have been yesterday) The Grand Prix rated BEST IN CLASS and is actually a fleet car for a lot of us druggies. I am getting a Ford 500 next week. ROOMY!!! Looks like a turtle, but A) It is Free B) I am in the car about 1200 miles a week) C) It is free. The Grand Prix is a great car. Lots of room and a SERIOUS engine. (Enough to haul your tuckus and mine around!)

B Heezy, welcome aboard first of all. We will have to catch up next week here in Richmond. I may go to the Ford dealer in Lynchburg to check some of their rides out. 1200 miles a week? You need to be careful too man for sure! I am praying for good weather tonight. It has been exactly 1 week since the crash and now I have to do the same trip over again. I hope I am up for it....I am trying to get with LUconn's company in Lynchburg (Genworth Financial) but I didn't get the position I interviewed for a few weeks ago. The HR manager has me tagged for a couple of more positions so I may not have to do this Contracting thing much longer. We shall see.

They can call it whatever they want, it's still a frickin' station wagon!

Libertine that's funny. It is indeed a station wagon even if you do put chrome 20 inch rims on it.

I'm a big fan of station wagons, especially if you've got a family. Anything but the minivan, dude. I can't go there. I'll drive a wagon, an SUV or maybe even a UHaul truck before I'll cave on being a minivan guy. Gross.

Comeon! We ALL need to be driving mini-vans for the next few weeks in honor of the world cup.

The minivan is merely a station wagon with head room and a DVD player!! I don't care if it's got a 427, it's still a chick car! You don't trade your testes for a hemi!

You can slap a tattoo and a mohawk on Strawberry Shortcake but that don't change the fact that she takes a whiz sitting down!!

(For the record, yes, I feel very strongly about this. Does it show?)

Ok guys, thanks for all the suggestions on a vehicle. We ended up with the 2007 Camry V6-XLE. I wouldn't suggest you rolling your SUV in order to get a new car but I digress. I don't really like the older body style of the Cam (2000-06) but the new look sold me. Plus the fact that the Maxima is overpriced for the lack of luxury you get. Smoothy will get a chance to see it this weekend.

Yes it is a nice car and Mrs. SCAR will enjoy it very much since technically she will probably drive it most. I "broke" our last vehicle so I have forfeited my priveledges  I am just glad we were able to get this behind us and return to a 2 car family again. Coordinating rides was tough. All in all we are very blessed to have what we have and most importantly I am here to enjoy it because my accident could have been bad. Thank God I am ok because I would hate to have missed the Gregg Marshall/Buzz Petersen Job search
