Add to these, "Mr. President, leaders don't follow polls, they change polls."

I liked Christie a lot. If he does indeed become AG and perform the job successfully, could he be a future candidate for an even higher position?

Christie is much too liberal to win a primary. Fiscally he's great but socially, not so much. Of course there's a place in the party for him, I just don't see it at the Presidential level. Plus, the establishment hates his confrontational approach.

I am so sick of this idea that the only issue women care about is being pro choice. This is insulting to the women who are pro life. My wife goes on a mini-rant anytime those ads come on tv. One of the main reasons we haven't watched much tv lately except on our dvr is because it has just gotten so over the top.

I wish they would call pro choice for what it is really, pro death. Pro life vs pro death.

Pro Murder, because most Pro Choice people are against the death penalty.

I am not even sure I am for the death penalty, but murdering babies is just not cool.

I wish it would get more focus then the constant, tiring gay marriage debate. Abortions are killing people...gay marriage is not.

Just all the more reason that although I can't stand Romney, we've got to get out a President who believes in infanticide.

Why is it always either/or with you guys, why can't it be both/and? And just because it doesn't kill someone, doesn't take away its importance.
For instance.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-19402508

On a side note, how weird was it watching them sing Amazing Grace at the convention? What was up with that? Is that their bone to throw at Christians? And it's tragic how cliche that song has become.

Yawn. Another Republicans favorite Democrat.

Besides, I really don't take movie stars too seriously when it comes to politics.

He never insinuated an either/or status. He said "more focus." and by mentioning it, he acknowledges the importance of the gay marriage issue.

Despite every politician of the last four decades being required to have a clearly defined position on abortion, how much national legislation has directly addressed it in that time? Now ask yourself the same question about gay marriage.

How can you diss Dirty Harry?! He will generates lot of buzz. He also served as a mayor. Will it help solve our unemployment numbers? No. But it will counter act the wimp factor.
I don't give celebrity endorsements too seriously, but this is still sorta cool.

Its not an either/or situation. I don't agree with gay marriage, but it is not nearly as important as saving the life of a baby.

I don't think that is so crazy

Abortion should be a state issue. Murder is a state issue. We can define abortion as murder at the national level and enforce it at the state level. That is the best and really the only plausible solution to the murder of unborn babies. When Republicans get behind that, abortions will drop significantly. Gay Marriage should not even be a political issue. It should be the church, not the state that defines marriage. When the state defines marriage, it cannot leave anyone out. Hence homosexuals getting all worked up. If left to the church, gays couldn't complain about it. So simple, but republicans like big government.

It's just that we don't know who to trust... the Mitt who wants to be president, or the Mitt who acted like a Democrat in Massachusetts?

As McCain pointed out, the tale of two Mitts continues. But at least he isn't a Marxist like our current president.

What politician isn't out of touch?
He finally has put out a more simplified 5 point plan
I like the theme that it's Ok to be disappointed.
"Obama promised to slow the rise of the oceans and heal the earth. I promise to help you and your family"
I like the theme of its ok if the best you felt about Obama was the day you voted for him. It really sells the fact that there is a difference without being crass insulting or bombastic.

I will not be voting FOR anyone this year, but I will be voting. I am afraid that Obama will be re-elected due to apathy. Romney seems to me like the Republican, (moral) Morman version of John Edwards.

Wow? Really? I don't think Mitt ever claimed to be channelling the spirit of a dead child like Edwards did. I did like Eastwoods line about Lawyers being President. Edwards took sleazy to a whole new level.
Is Mitt someone you would hire to turn around and fix your broken company or is Obama?

I would hire Mitt to run the company, but I wouldn't choose either for president. By John Edwards, I meant that he is a slick, polished politician. I believe that Mitt is a good, moral man, but I don't fully trust him.

If he can't be trusted, and comes across as a car salesman, then he's not a good, moral man.

The lesser of two evils is still evil.
