Seriously this is about 10x faster then my firefox was running....even to the point it would freeze up for 10 seconds at a time. This is night and day better.

They've made alot of improvements too. I have a ton of addon's that I had over on FF too....so happy I tried the new one.
Nice, about to check it out. where did you find the add-ons?

EDIT: nevermind i found them.

Does Chrome have a password keeper like FF? I have all my passwords saved and password protected so I only have to log in one time when I open the browser. If Chrome doesn't have this feature that is a deal breaker for me.

Yes, and if you dont like the native PW keeper you can use several extensions that do that as well

Also it has a built in Bookmark Sync to keep all of your computers bookmarks the same which is really useful and I've been using Xmarks extension because FF didnt have that

I use Opera but may be switching to Chrome. I use several computers between my home, office, youth room, sanctuary, and with opera my bookmarks travel to every computer with me very easily, does chrome do that? ( jokes on me, probably every browser does that and I dont know it)

also, opera has the built in speed dial which is the main reason I cant use anything else, does Chrome have something similar thats easy to set up? Or a magic wand for passwords

I'm 99% sure there is an extension to add a Speed Dial to Chrome.

I'm just testing it out. I see they finally added AdBlock. That flamefans bug seems to be fixed. Looks like I may be back to chrome

I haven't seen Terminator: Salvation yet, but I'm sure that once that does happen, HMO will be google's first slave/easiest target.

That probably made no sense, but at least google won't be able to decifer it either.

AdBlock on chrome is pretty slow. Everything loads and then a half second later the ads disappear. The firefox AdBlock never even lets me see them. Maybe it's loading so much fast than ff that AdBlock can't work that fast?

Downloaded Chrome and am very impressed so far. LastPass is an excellent password tool. I may make the switch from Firefox full time (which will be a hard decision since I started using Firefox in 2004 when it first came out).

I think the latest flaw they found in IE bascially lets somebody else look at whatever the heck they want on your computer. And their newest patch isn't even gonna fix that.

http://www.informationweek.com/news/sec ... =222700161
One vulnerability that won't be fixed this month can be found in Internet Explorer. Microsoft on Wednesday issued a security advisory, stating that it is investigating a publicly reported vulnerability in versions of its Web browser.

"Our investigation so far has shown that if a user is using a version of Internet Explorer that is not running in Protected Mode an attacker may be able to access files with an already known filename and location," Microsoft's advisory says.

I get the irrational fear of google that aLUmnus has but anybody using IE these days pretty much deserves whatever malicious junk you get on your computer.

giving this the same credibility I give any of your statements about that tumbleweed college in Austin.

Even geeks admit anywhere from 50-80% of all users still use IE.

the same Apple fan-boy types that swear by Mac's are the ones bragging about using Linux, or programming in machine code. The rest of us check our email and read TMZ via IE 8.

I'll get you some numbers since I have the day off.
PS: Make sure you fasten your spurs before you leave for work this morning.

here's a geek-site that admits they slant their data- and still don't support the misnomer that everyone has abandoned IE. Even with their "math", you can see that approx 35%-45% use IE and Firefox.
some geek wrote:Browsers that count for less than 0.5% are not listed.

W3Schools is a website for people with an interest for web technologies. These people are more interested in using alternative browsers than the average user. The average user tends to use Internet Explorer, since it comes preinstalled with Windows. Most do not seek out other browsers.

These facts indicate that the browser figures above are not 100% realistic. Other web sites have statistics showing that Internet Explorer is used by at least 80% of the users.

Anyway, our data, collected from W3Schools' log-files, over a five year period, clearly shows the long and medium-term trends.

HMO and I found the same site. Just took me longer to put it up.

Using MS paint.

and the important point is in quotes. As many as 80% of AVG users use IE, though it would appear this "Chrome" of which you speek is making strides. Gaining about 1% a month.

Just because it is the most popular doesn't make it the best. Keep in mind that the same argument you are making could be used for just about anything. Is McDonald's the best because they are number one? How about Budweiser? Or Nickelback? I think not.

Never said it was the best. I was just refuting the cactus-eater that "Uh, dude. The rest of the world left IE a long time ago."

Hey, don't shoot the messenger: I was quoting your geek site: (and actually UNDER-estimating)
