I definitely want to see it. But be prepared for a little revisionist history.

TRhe Southerners on our board live for that brand of history. The mafia wars were really about taxation rights.

I heard the movie was good, but lacked the certain oomph that makes it a great film.

I saw it last night, id say the review is accurate. I walked out of there with my brother and we both looked at each other and said " Man they could have done a better job with that"

What is this above^^^^? It's filtered here at work.

Coming soon are two of what seem to be the most creative and original movies to come out in a while, and surprise surprise, they're both sci-fi.

District 9 and Moon both look really good. Although Moon probably won't be widely released.

I watched both the previews for District 9 and the Moon. I will definitely be adding those to the "must see" list.

Suprised no one has mentioned seeing Bruno? ( I have no intention of seeing it, but I know a lot of you raved about Borat. So what's the deal? To gay I am guessing?

Well the alien seems completely reasonable. And we can somehow understand each other. Is this going to be a movie of discussion and debate?

I will say that is definately not a first date movie. During the movie it was very awkward but we did have interesting conversations afterward, but probably not what you would want after a first date. The movie was horrible. It was soft core gay porn.

The wife and I saw Bruno a couple weeks back. I thought it was funny but not nearly as funny as Borat. It definitely crosses the line several times. I'd have a hard time recommending it, especially around here.

I was listening to the radio and apparently Bruno had a big first week and then the numbers have basically tanked since...

I saw Up, and yeah, it got a little dusty in the theatre at times (*sniff* *sniff*, although the entire talking dogs thing was a bit over-the-top... kinda like how the first half of Wall-E was great, and then it fell apart).

I just saw Horton Hears a Who on DVD... and it is fantastic. I loved it.

As for District 9, I would like to see it (all the reviews are overwhelmingly positive, except for the two publications I respect the most, the NY Post & the Wall Street Journal)... but something tells me if I suggest to my wife that we go see a movie this weekend, we'll be attending "Julia & Julia".

District 9....man this is a hard movie to review. It was unexpected, original, a bit gory but all in all if they make a sequel i would see it. The special effects were spot on. I don't think this is a date movie though, FYI. ill wait to see if anyone else sees it before releasing any spoilers.
