Uh, no. In the Droid thread I said...
El Scorcho wrote:If the interface is solid (and I wasn't under contract), I'd actually consider this phone. It has equal (and sometimes better) hardware than the iPhone and a much better network to run it on. If Google gets v.2.0 of Android right, I think this is the new phone to beat.
Which I followed up with this...

I agree. I've looked at a lot of pics of it in the last 24 hours and I think it's ugly. For some people it doesn't make a difference, but I do think it's a major flaw. Appearance isn't everything, but it's something.
Engadget's review (Link: http://tr.im/DE9x) wasn't kind to the interface. That's the thing I said they absolutely had to get right. Shame.
Yep. I still think it's a good phone and the best competition for the iPhone there is. It's better in some aspects, yes. The network, the camera, the screen and the hardware keyboard are nice. It's worse in other aspects. No multi-touch, the look of the thing, poor camera controls and the UI are all negatives, for me. I'd say all other aspects are probably even.
I'm glad there's competition and the Droid is good. But I really like my iPhone. A lot.
