I think he would tell you that his 13:20 5k (5th best collegiate 5k of all time) was a better effort. Of course, they had to go with the mile for the contest because most people don't even know what a "k" is, let alone understanding what it means to be able to run 5 of them at a 4:17 mile pace! (by the way, smart guys, 5k=3.1 miles)
I am so impressed. For real! That is a ridiculous pace. He probably doesn't even breath hard at the end either. You distance runners have some serious lung capacity. Me? I have asthma so I can't come close to relating to having that ability. Amazing.

As much as I would like to be lumped into the same category as our buddy Josh, it isn't quite fair to him. I never even ran a 4:17 mile, let alone more than one at a time. But yes, he has some serious air bags.

I agree with you Jon. I've been a diehard UVa fan since a baby, but it's now LU over UVa in anything.

I don't blame you. I wouldn't pull for UVA in anything, either.
Okay, they were a joke a long time ago, I was just holding out hope. Nevermind.
I know the voting may not work out to your liking but I have to crown this a success so far. 1) it is driving people to the site (not in the millions like Facebook or anything but it is a start) and 2) it is stirring strong opinions. You may not like how it is going but the fact that you have an opinion on it is a good thing. Apathy or having no opinion is when it will be bad for business. I hope they keep it up. BTW 01 who do you think is the best new comer? I am just curious as I don't know the candidates that well in this category.
I was refering to last week's results. That was a no-brainer for anyone who takes time to pay attention to more than football and basketball. I'll admit that I am a huge track & field guy, but I am a bigger SPORTS guy. It bothers me when people don't give some athletes credit because their sports don't get much time on ESPN. (You can catch a track meet every once in a while, but they break in every 5 minutes during the coverage to tell everyone what type of cereal Barry Bonds had for breakfast.)
If you really sat and thought about it, was there even a question about last week's poll?
