I love technology and I think one of the best devices for making life easier is the bluetooth headset (ear piece). I Have had about 3 moto's, 1 Jabra, 1 Samsung but I just came across my favorite, made by Jawbone. The amount of technology they jam into this little thing will blow your mind. Watch this demo http://www.jawbone.com/meet.html

Bluetooth is great b/c it's cheap and can be added to devices such as laptops and make them accessible to alot more devices. I just cant wait till my next car has bluetooth built into it! Now that is serious technology!

And for the record I dont wear my bluetooth in public. Doesnt someone on this board have the nickname "bluetooth" on a radio show b/c he wore his alot???? 8)

I honestly don't even use my cellphone now. I just have it because I used to solely use it, before getting a landline and I've had the number for almost 8 years now. I can't bear to lose it. But then again, I despise talking on the phone anyway.

In conclusion, bluetooth is neat. But that's it.

I never use a landline- other than in the office here.

cellie is ALWAYS on my hip and always ON. Now whether I answer it or not is another question

I don't like headsets unless I have to spend an extended amount of time on a tech support call. Even then, I use a wired headset just because Bluetooth saps the battery in my phone much too quickly.

Maybe I'm just not on the phone enough to want it semi-permanently attached to my head?

That looks AWESOME!!! I love my bluetooth headset, but not enough to spend over $100 on it. I can't tell you how many I've broken or lost. I can usually get the pretty good motorola headsets for less than $40. That way if I lose them, I don't feel as bad. I'd love to have one of those jawbones though!

I hate when people wear them in public, I know you said you didn't. One of my bosses wears them and talks around the office and you think he is talking to you because he is talking and looking at you until he points to his phone thing. I have never tried it. I finally just got a pay as you go phone for so much cheaper than a bluetooth it would be silly to have one.

which pay as you go company did you go with? i was looking at wal-mart today and the displays they have were well beyond confusing. i'm not sure john nash could even do that math on those displays.

Ive just started using an earbud when the family upgraded phones about a month ago. My dad uses a bluetooth headset because he actually has a separate plan with his practice. But I will say that I like not having to handle my phone so much and take my eyes off the road (If I have to take a call while driving I check the traffic situation around me before answering)

I now use Boost Mobile because my husband has Nextel and it is cheaper to call him with it, but I had T-Mobile and I really liked it. It was cheaper in the long run and great range compared to what I have. My daughter has Tracfone which has even better range than the other two but sometimes more expensive but has some cool offers with it. T-Mobile seems the most reasonable or the three we have tried. My parents have had All-tell for years now and they love it but T-Mobile is cheaper.

My phone is totally ghetto and I do have a ringtone that has some lady saying 'where you at?' and another one that has police sirens.

Just so everyone is clear, Bluetooth is a wireless protocol, not a device. Those little headsets are not called "Bluetooth".

Bluetooth is used for many other things besides that.
