Mae, would appeal to a wide group of people
Delirious, amazing show, always brings in a big crowd
The Myriad, high-quality stuff, not nearly enough recognition
They were actually close to booking Mae once, the band's management sent Student Life a request form, which most bands do, and on that list was Beer....so of course that eliminated them from playing on campus
The only one I know for sure that claims to be a Christian is the singer, the rest I have not read anything one way or the other...but you are right they don't claim to be a Christian band...
Talking to people who are from the area where Mae is from, they all say they're anything but a Christian band. Then again, that could just be one of those rumors that were talking about (like MxPx).
They're not a Christian band, but again it's one of those bands the 90.9 hasn't been shy about playing, or Christian bookstores selling they're albums.

Mae are all Christians...they like to have a drink from time to time which some people look down on..there are plenty of rumors out there about them, but every one of them starts out with a friend of mine saw them at a party....They have never shunned Christianity, they have said they aren't a ministry oriented band...but thats about the closest thing to "denying christianity" you will find from them...
as far as cd's from bands that aren't Christian bands, that is tooth and nail's fault....tooth and nail has signed a few bands that aren't Christians (The Juliana Theory was the first non-Christian band they ever signed, but Brandon Ebel the head of T&N did not mention that until after they were off the label) at all and they still distribute them to the Christian market....I don't think that is right for the consumer nor the bands involved becau se of misrepresentation....It is hard as a Christian radio station or bookstore to go through every band and do background checks and make sure they are Christians when their record labels are presenting them as so...
as far as entertainment and enviroment go several of those bands would be great. i would like to see the powers that be bring in Hillsong United because not only are they entertaining, they create an atmosphere condusive to worship like nothing i have ever seen. i went to their concert in va beach this past year, and it was incredible. maybe not for a block party, but a concert would pack the vines center no doubt.
