SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - It was a ginormous year for the wordsmiths at Merriam-Webster. Along with embracing the adjective that combines "gigantic" and "enormous," the dictionary publishers also got into Bollywood, sudoku and speed dating.

The fact that "telenovela" is now listed as an English word says a great deal about American culture on many fronts.

And forgive me for asking, but doesn't it seem lame to add slang words like "crunk" about 3-4 years after they have gone out of use?

Crunk Doesnt get used in TX anymore, it is now: Already, Fool, Swangn, and things like that haha
