With all the different personalities now on this board its hard to say what anyone might think of this movie. I for one, really appreciated it as i am a huge fan of the series and i would recommend it highly. The apple guy is pretty funny and the stunts they pulled were mostly humanly possible and not something CGI or whatever.

I hate how he's considered the Apple Guy. He's put out a few pretty decent movies and has been funny in all of them.

This was my thought as well.....plus the 10 year old kid with his dad who wouldn't shut up reminded me it wasn't R. I was made aware this morning that they will release a DVD with the content they removed to make it PG-13 so either way you will get to see it. I wasn't disappointed though, but as others see it ill be curious to hear thoughts.....

as long as we hear YKYMF at some point during the movie, I'll be ok. You're allowed at least one F bomb in a PG-13 movie right?

Actually I believe you are allowed up to 5 but there is a sliding scale based on length of movie, type of movie and the context it is uttered.
By watching the previews it looks like we get at least one. The bad guy says " Did you say something McClaine?" He says "Yippie Kie Ya......" and the scene cuts.

Yes the last words are kinda muffled due to what is going on in the movie but you can make it out.

I'll probably wait for Movies 10, or even the Unrated DVD. I've been told the cuts and editing were awful (gotta love the studio), but aside from that it's close to the third one in terms of quality.

I haven't really enjoyed any of Justin Long's films (the ones I've seen anyway), but he was hilarious in Ed.

I haven't seen any of them, never been a big Bruce Willis fan but 4 does look good. Probably wait for the DVD, though.

We tried to go see it twice yesterday in Richmond and it was sold out the second time. The first time was for the matinee and the whole theatre in Short Pump was packed so we didn't even get in line for a ticket. We figured most of those folks were going to see Die Hard. I love the series but the 1st one will always be one of the best ever IMO. I may see the 4th installment this weekend with some of my nieces and nephews (who happen to be close to my age. Didn't want you to think I was taking a bunch of kids).

Saw it! Loved it but I do have some issues with today's action movies. Maybe I am getting old. In fact calling it "today's action movies" makes me old I think. :? Anyway, I love the John McClain character Bruce Willis has given life to. I am a big Bruce Willis fan anyway but McClain is my favorite by far. I do have to say that these movies make you think that if you grit your teeth and are on a mission that you can defy any odds. Also the amount of collateral damage in these movies make it hard to believe that the good guys are winning. They are destroying and killing stuff quicker than the bad guys but as long as our hero is alive we as the movie goer don't even think twice. I am not ranting or complaining but it does make me laugh when I see it. For those of you that have seen the movie, do you think that McClain passed Physics in high school? I think he could teach it. The things he tries and succeeds in doing would take a team of scientists 6 months to calculate the formulas and execute but he does it at a moments notice and it works and works well. Plus at 52, Bruce Willis has some good knees. Every time he jumped or fell all I could think about was that must have hurt his legs! (Boy I am getting old!). But really, I really liked the movie and the 30 bucks I dropped to get in was worth it (ok I am kidding about that but I did pay 30 to take MRS SCAR and my 17 year old niece who is spending the summer in the DC area). If Transformers is better than this one then I can't wait to see it. I am not really a big Transformers fan but if everyone keeps talking about it, I may have to go out and see it soon. I may need Purple Haize to come to Richmond to see that one though. MRS SCAR has had her fill of action movies for the summer I think. Good to be up here in DC though. Always fun to visit.

I look foward to seeing this movie. But one of his best movies that I enjoy is the "Last Boy Scout" as an action movie.
