The first question is, do you go to a barber or a hair stylist? And do you pay under or over $10 for a haircut? Do you tip?

My long-time barber, Don Blanks, died several years ago, and now I go to Hunt's Barbershop on 221 near my house, which I'm fairly pleased with, but I was just wondering where everybody else goes, or do you cut your own?

I go to Mastercuts (mostly because I didn't know of any decent barbershops in town). Its 13.95 for a Adult Cut plus shampoo so its not that bad off. Id like to find a real good shop that can give a guy a good fade though.

I go to Mastercuts and pay 3.95 For a Childs Shampoo (Washing) cause I know a girl that works there , and yes i tip

me and bryson cut each others hair and half the other people on the hall. were pretty skilled. you can go bald, 1,2,3,4,5, or 6 all over. and we'll attempt to make your neck line straight, but don't count on it. tips are accepted

When I was going to UVa, I loved going to this old barbershop near the grounds (campus) that had like 6 or 8 chairs. That's where Howie Long gets his flat top haircut, but I never saw him in there.

I think Jerry went to someplace called the A-1 Barbershop, but I never looked it up to see where it is. The Timberlake Barbershop on the corner of Timberlake & Waterlick is one of those old fashioned barbershops. I like the ones that still use lather and a straight razor around your ears and neck.

My wife cuts my hair. She doesn't know how to style it or anything, so she just buzzes it off every month. When she forces me into a real haircut about once a year, we go to Sage Tryall on Wards Ferry back behind Best Buy. Not a fan of paying for my hair to be cut, but the head massage is nice every once in a while.

In college mastercuts was my place. I went to the barber shop right at Fort Early once, but that's really only good for a buzz cut (and a hot shave).

When I was going to Ole Miss, we had two 4-week summer semesters, and my traditional activity between semesters was to go to his old fashioned barbershop on the square in Oxford to get my beard cut off and get a shave to begin the second semester. The old barber would first buzz the beard with outline clippers, and then he's recline the barber's chair and put a steaming hot wet towel over your entire face, with only a small opening where your nose was to breathe. After your whiskers were nice and soft from the hot towel, then he's lather you up with a shaving mug & brush, and shave you with a straight razor, just like you used to see in the old westerns on TV. Very relaxing, and I loved the smell of those old barbershops.

up by ledos there is a new place. it's currently $5.99 for a cut. i about fell out when she rang me up for 6 bucks. it's only for a little while longer though. a promo for the grand opening... which was 6 months ago. hey, i told her to "clean it up," and she did great. i'll take it.

however, jdub's free hair services are a lot better on the wallet.
