This is the location for conversations that don't fall anywhere else on FlameFans. Whether its politics, culture, the latest techno stuff or just the best places to travel on the web ... this is your forum.
I don't see a forum where we can just post things non-sport and non-LU related, so I put it in here. We need a talk about "anything" forum. Anyway, I found this very humorous. Enjoy!
March 1, 2006— Following a 17th-century recipe, one of the eight artisanal whiskey producers on the tiny Scottish isle of Islay will produce a dozen barrels of 184-proof whiskey Monday, the company announced.
That's 92 percent alcohol, which is about as strong as whiskey can get without being sold in a pharmacy.
"The first taste affects all the members of the body," a 1695 description of the elixir reads. "Two spoonfuls of this last liquor is a sufficient dose — if any man should exceed this, it would presently stop his breath, and endanger his life."
The Bruichladdich distillery said it would install Web cams so that customers thirsty with anticipation could watch the potentially lethal concoction come into being.
"If the distillery doesn't explode during the process," Bruichladdich added.
that'll put hair on your chest
