There are better ways to handle this and thats on Putin but the reality is that Nato as crept ever so close and we all kind of agreed not to.

You’re right.

Here’s my question: if Russia isn’t going to move over its border, who cares if NATO is on its border? It doesn’t matter if NATO is on your border, so long as you don’t invade.

But then I think, what if Russia aligned with Canada or Mexico and put a base or weapons in one of those countries. We’d all lose our minds. Cuba all over again.

So we agreed not to creep closer. And we did. And Russia is ticked about it. Russia wants the Black Sea. It’s not even really about Crimea, just Sevastopol. So they invade Ukraine and kill goodness-knows-how-many-thousands. When if we had stuck to our agreement of NATO not to move eastward, all could’ve been avoided.

Really sounds like Clinton-Bush-Obama screwed the pooch, and Biden didnt handle the fallout well at all.

correct. i mean remember how big of an issue we had with them bringing missiles into Cuba? What almost happened there? We planted weapons systems on the kremlin's doorstep.

Again the answer isn't lets kill thousands of people

I disagree. It’s gonna only be a small number of folks that would do it. Easier to background check them. And if you have skeletons in your closet you will probably not take the chance.

Hope you're right. They're already buying our farm land. We've been selling everything in sight.

Those are two different things. I AM concerned about China buying land next to our military bases but that has nothing to do with the ‘Gold Pass’

So in Colorado the Chinese are buying up tons of farmland. They are paying way above market price and paying in cash. like literal cash. My in laws are surrounded by empty 160 acre plots that have been bought and paid for for years. a lot of them put in hemp nurserys but that was very short lived. now they are just weeds.

Both. One has probably pushed it harder than the other, but both are guilty of enabling it and allowing it to continue.

What have Republicans in Congress done to stop the waste/fraud? I'll wait.

The idea that both sides aren't a part of this is preposterous. The reason the Ds are more 'vocal' about it is because they're the party out of power and they have nothing to lose by fighting and opposing everything Trump does. Republicans on the other hand passed the CR that basically ignored DOGE entirely. This problem is way bigger than Republican/Democrat. The tentacles of control and power from outside sources reach into both parties. By the time enough Americans realize this it will likely be too late. S&P and Fitch have already downgraded US debt from the premium rating of AAA. Moody's put out a statement this week basically saying that the finances of the US continue to deteriorate, and they have a negative outlook.

To be honest, there is fraud rolling through SS/Medicare and Medicaid, but you're likely not going to solve the fiscal crisis this country is in if they can't reform or do away with those programs. Trump has no interest in touching the mandatory spending side of the card, for mostly political reasons I think.

I know people with large government pensions and receiving SS on top of it. So much to fix. You can bet the private sector get the short end.

That’s why only Trump and someone like Musk can get it done. They have 0 political skin in the game. Every year there are scores of reports and articles that come out about the outrageous things the Federal Government spends money on. But no one dares do anything because EVERYONE has their finger in the pie. USAID being the perfect example. In theory it’s a fantastic idea. Which means no one is going to look too closely as to who and where the money is going to. After all, think about all the starving children!

I believe that’s an AI photo. But I’m glad she’s being held accountable. Remember…no one is above the law

Didn’t Trump literally argue to the Supreme Court that he is above the law? Oh, you meant no one is above the law when it comes to what you want. Got it.

Just gonna put this out there: I’ve supported Trump and I appreciate supporting the unborn, but I do not like the Trump 2028 stuff. Not even if it’s a joke. We shouldn’t flirt with that and I hope conservatives will rally against that.
