They didn't have a change of heart, they clarified their stance that was misreported. From my understanding, they have empowered their local franchise operators to support heir local charities in their community. That is how it was explained to me by a friend of mine who also happens to be a franchise owner locally. I am not sure why this got blown out of proportion like it did.
