So Microsoft announced what seems like a worthy version of the Windows operating system with Windows 10. Will even be giving it away for free if you upgrade from Windows 7/8/8.1 within a year. That free license will last the lifetime of the device, but Microsoft determines what that is. But what if you don't upgrade within that year? You're going to have to pay a subscription just to use your computer if you have Windows 10.

Guess Microsoft wants people to keep leaving for Macs and Chromebooks.
