I don't really like skateparks. Although I still love skating at Blackwater Creek Trail & Dan Daniels Park trail in Danville.

LU has its own skatepark at Candler's Station. Have any Flame Fans been there?

Sly, the LU skate park just made front page news in the local paper. It's also open for non-LU students to use:

I have been to the LU skate park. It cost something like $2 when I used it.

I tried the "baby" half-pipe until I got used to it.

Then, I tried the huge one, once...I launched off the one side and hung on the lip...Couldn't really figure out how to come down without having to do it again on the other side...I had never really tried this before...so I was kneeling at the lip trying to figure out my next move. Some guy on a BMX bike was laughing at me. But he was on the ground just doing little tricks. I eventually slid down it like a slide.

That's my experience.
