NCAA is just distancing itself. The article points out that they don't really license the imaging anyways, so they're just getting out of the way so the lawsuits can be focused on those responsible for the licensing.

And then there's this already on Twitter: @McMurphyESPN: First non-NCAA affiliated EA Sports college football video game will be called "College Football 15" source told @ESPN

I've been reading several articles the past few days that college football games are not dead, but rather will not feature the NCAA's names and logos but will work more closely with the Collegiate Licensing Company. I was thinking that this would be a great opening for FCS schools like ourselves, to get into the game via these deals but did not see our name listed on their website as a member school. I'd have to think this would be a great opportunity for LU to get a good amount of exposure if we can get into these games, any idea why we aren't with the CLC?

I'm not sure how you could have a college football game without actual college football teams. Am I just crazy here? I guess it would all have to be fictional schools.

Which is cool because I always wanted to do LU-LIR... Liberty University of Lynchburg in Roanoke

That's the thing with the CLC, the individual schools and conferences control their participation in the game, not the NCAA. The NCAA doesn't even have any involvement in any of the postseason so not much has to change, if anything it seems like EA could have more freedom if they go ahead with it.

No Big South schools are, FWIW. Numerous BCS schools not even a member. Only lists seven Big 12 schools, eight Big Ten schools, etc. Would be a much less quality of a product if missing a bunch of BCS schools.
