I got engaged today! Most of you on here don't know me, but some do and I'm glad I can share this info with my Liberty family! I've been pursuing the woman of my dreams for almost 18 months now, and now we're taking the next step toward marriage :D

p.s. Hope I put this in the right place... wasn't sure if chapel would have been better or if this was right. If it needs to be moved, feel free to do so!

My sympathies to your fiance. :D

Seriously congrats, they'll move it to the 'Chapel' when your wife clobbers you with a frying pan after three to six months of marriage! 8)

Congrats! A quick thought that is fresh on my mind because I just finished reading it five minutes ago. Take some time and read Chapter 6 - "Resolving to Love my Wife" from The Resolution for Men, which is the book associated with the Courageous Movie. I know there are many great books out there for men, but this is an easy read and gets straight to the point of how a husband should treat his wife in about 11 pages. As someone who has 22 years of experience, I will tell you that the book is right on and while easier said then done sometimes, keeping your marriage holy while honoring and loving your wife will bear abundant fruits for your marriage and your future family.

Congratulations again - marriage is a wonderful thing.

Congrats. For some reason, I assumed you were female based on your screen name.

I did the same thing until I met him a few years ago. I thought his name meant "LU and pretty."

I think it is supposed to mean "LU N. Pretty" or something like that. if you went to any home football games this year you would have seen him as the red jacket guy

Congrats and best wishes to you two for a long and blessed life together

Oh, ok. I haven't been to any football games in a long time. Lynchburg is quite a drive from Fort Myers.

Haha ya this has been brought up before. LU - school I attend (obviously), NPretty - Initial of first name and full last name (so yes she will soon be Mrs. Pretty), and 11 was the number I wore throughout my entire sporting career - even though I am graduating in 12, which has been confused before as well.

Congrats man! I know that people often say negative things about marriage, but 4 1/2 years in and I couldn't be more happy with the decision I made to marry my wife. Ups and downs will come but its an amazing adventure! So Congrats again!

It's definitely difficult... but still the best decision I've ever made.
