I use both at work. They both have their purposes and functionality. And obviously the boxes are cheaper on the PC side.

It's possible to build/configure PC's to be cheaper than Macs, but not with the same features. That's a myth. Put together any Dell with the same features/parts as the comparable Mac model and they'll be pretty close in price. In fact, the new Mac Pros are badly beating the Dell Precision Workstations in a cost comparison that our office is doing right now.

And again, since Macs can now run both (even simultaneously) it makes the Mac look like a much much better value.
