Ugh. I heard that. Smelled of desperation. Also Bachmans whinniness made me reach for pain killers
Thought Romney and Newt looked the best. I think someone forgot that Huntsman was ther
My only fear is Romney would pick Bacman as VP

I decided last night that I really like Huntsman. Too bad he's basically not even there.

Funny how I always like the people everyone hates.

Guess that's pretty much how people think about me around here.

As for Romney and Newt, I don't care what they say. I care what their record has shown. And if you are a true conservative/libertarian, you will not support either of these.

I watched maybe the first 10 minutes. It was clear Newt was dropping tons of meaningless buzz words, like mentioning Reagan over and over, when Newt has a real love affair with FDR. Reagan and FDR have absolutely nothing in common. So who is the real Newt? Is it FDR, or Reagan?

By your logic, if you are a "true" conservative, would you really be able to support any of them? And what would be the definition of a "true" conservative? Statements like this are just so silly.

Bachmann has been solid as a rock. Perry is pretty much so, except on immigration. Santorum is as well, and Paul is also solid as a rock.

These are the best candidates we've ever had. Why so many people are flocking to Newt, I really don't know, cause a lot of them will whine and complain when it comes down to the general election. (In my opinion, all the Cain supporters are flocking with Newt).

Although I know you've liked Newt from the beginning, and to be honest I have much respect that you haven't been floating around candidates like everyone else. That's respectable.

The Newt love is completely confusing. He screams old time status quo republicans who pretend to be conservative when voting season comes around then turn their back as soon as they get a chance. I don't feel bad for this country anymore, they get what they deserve by supporting the idiots they do.

For many people it is LUconn. Follow the polls and you'll see it.

Actually I haven't made a decision yet as to who I'll vote for. I want to know as much as I can, that's why I try to watch every debate, including the 1-on-1's that everyone has ignored. Yes, Newt is my favorite, has been for a while. But I also like Bachmann and Perry. Every one of these candidates has a ton to like, and they all have problems. The thing that bothers me is that everyone attacks all the other candidates and spares their own. I know this is par for the course, but it's so hypocritical.

I loved how this whole process started...show your ideas and attack Obama and the current congress. The press will expose all the flaws, but the candidates themselves are doing nobody any favors by attacking. This shouldn't be about who gets in the best zings. These debates should be about ideas and what the candidates plan to do. Tell us what your position is and let us decide. So much of this other stuff is just a guessing game. These guys aren't robots, they're human, and they will all let us down.

I always like to refrain from the word 'pure ' when discussing politics. I vote on a sliding scale: which candidate do I most agree with? Right now I'm down to 2. And firmly believe any of them will be better than what we have now.
