I appreciate your candor, Art. This has been a terrible situation from every perspective. We may never know the details but it doesn't change the fact of his passing.

I just wanted to encourage our Liberty family extended to really for Jan, Gary's widow and all the family members on both sides. Loss is particularly felt the hardest during the holidays...

May God give them and all of us grace, daily grace to cope with loss and whatever else we have on our plate to deal with.

Yes I remember this happening, and CBS wishes the family a Merry Christmas. CBS has live coverage of TGFFCST and will be on until 430 and will resume coverage Tomorrow Morning

Dear Friends,

I spoke last Sunday directly with one of the ministers who spoke at Gary's Funeral and was appointed by Gary to be executor of his estate.

According to this pastor friend, the detective on Gary's case confirmed there was some one else present in the house when Gary died and because this person was of such prominence in the city, they could not reveal what happened nor who this person was.

A police cover up. Sad. Very sad. I am enraged that his church at Thornington Road Baptist and it's leadership have allowed the police to get away with this.

Many of us just want justice to prevail here.

I you want the pastor's name and phone number who told me this information, feel free to drop me an email.

At this point, I do know that the 300 members of Gary's church have been 'sworn' to secrecy and no one is 'allowed' to discuss Gary's case, even with each other. I think that is weird and it will in the fullness of time, divide the church.

Sorry bro, but how do you "make" 300 church members swear to secrecy? I've been to many churches and there isn't many people in them that can or will keep secrets. Church people are kinda big on gossip. If it is the case, this church has serious problems, that I'd say started long before the preachers death. Sounds cultish to me....

Dear Friends, For those of you who have been interested in Gary's case and even prayed for his widow and family, I thank you.

Pastor Steve Campbell, a very close friend of Gary's who is a fellow pastor in AL, we spoke about a month ago. I leaned that Gary's had appointed Steve as executor of his estate and meets with Jan on a weekly basis to carry out Gary's wishes.

Pastor Steve and I spoke very openly about our mutual disbelief that Gary was ever involved in anything that was perverse and or sexual in nature. Steve agreed wholeheartedly and has known Gary for many, many years, been on many a hunting, fishing trip, missionary endeavors.

Steve told me that the detective who handled Gary's case, a 14 year veteran, told him directly that there WAS someone else present in the house when Gary's passed away but due to the nature of who this person was, their prominence in the town, that no one would ever know who was there and exactly what happened.

His widow, Jan just wants it all to go away.

Many of us would like to see this case reopened as it is clear to us that this was a crime scene, set up to make it look awful and hypocritical. I personally doubt the authenticity of even the autopsy report; it is a known fact within law enforcement and forensics, etc., that doctors and police can be paid off and threatened by higher powers.

If any of you have any suggestions or feedback, I am open. Were you my close friend and this happened to you, I would want to see justice and your name and reputation cleared.
In HIS Grip,
Art

This is all just too weird. I think its a long shot that any crime was committed.

Well, what's done is done and Gary is either being crowned for his works and/or judged for his sins. Let's all take a lesson from his widow.

I think this thread needs to be locked.

aspiano has made his point, and digging this thread up every time something happens only makes it more suspicious.

Kill it and let it die.

It's over and done with. He has moved on, bless his soul.

I, for one, am getting more than a bit sick and tired of the insinuations toward law enforcement.

That is completely out of line- in my opinion- you are nothing but a troll on this board and deserve permanent banning.

you've made your point, innumerable times.

I think we should all respect Jan's wishes.

Whether we agree or not. It is the kind and respectful thing to do.

First, I just wanted to thank the LU Alumni who makes this forum available.

After Gary Aldridge's passing this was one of the few venues that helped me deal with my loss of my dear friend Gary.

For those I offended while trying to deal with my grief, I apologize.

For those of you who offered sincere words of comfort and understanding, I will be forever grateful.

My understanding is that through Gary's wise planning he provided for Jan his widow and her needs financially are provided for.

Someday in heaven we will understand this and many other issues.

Best wishes to my brothers and sisters from LU....Our God IS an awesome God!

I just wanted to say a sincere thanks to this board and your patience as I and others grieved the loss of our friend Gary.

After gaining insight and facts from a local private investigator, I am now at peace and have closure.

Thanks be to God for His mercy and forgiveness. Gary is in heaven now.

All I can say is judgement is left up to God and we never know how much a brother or sister in Christ may be hurting and carrying heavy burdens. This incident proves to me that we need to be involved in each's others lives at an even deeper level and that all of us need someone to hold ourself accountable to.

Blessings and thanks, Art Scott, Aliso Viejo, CA contact: mraspiano@yahoo.com
