I upgraded from Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Home Premium which requires a fresh install since you can't go to a lesser version of windows on the upgrade. I screwed up and downloaded the 32 bit student version and didn't realize it until I had it installed and activated. I really wanted the 64 bit version but had a ton of trouble trying to make a bootable ISO DVD to install the 64 bit version since the student download doesn't come with discs. After spending hours on various message boards and on the phone with Microsoft trying to figure it out, I think I'm just going to run the 32 bit version. So far I'm really liking the new OS. It feels a lot like Vista, only faster and much more stable. If anybody is interested in purchasing the student version, it is $29.99 for anybody with a university email address. You don't have to be a current student.
