I really think anybody who takes that seriously is very much like an idiot. DISCLAIMER: I did not call anybody who takes it seriously an idiot. I was just pointing out the similarities between idiots and people who take this seriously. Thus the making of that statement.

Barak (and I speak as an expert on this topic because I just read the wikipedia entry) was a military commander, and Deborah was a prophetess and a monarch. The Israelites were being oppressed by the Canaanites and a dude named Sisera.

Deborah prophecied that Barak and his armies would win... but Sisera would be killed not by Barak, but by a woman. As it turns out, Sisera fled into some woman's tent, got drunk, and the woman drove a tent spike through his head.

It should be noted that Barak means lightning, the name Barack comes from a different semitic word (Baruch or Mubarak), meaning "blessing" or "blessed one".

Also that the term "health care reform" begins with the word "hell"?

Also that the phrase "president antichrist" has the exact same number of letters in it as the phrase "only morons count letters in phrases"?

Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son

but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

All that to say... If you're looking for a singular individual as the AntiChrist, who is going to usher in the End Times, you're not following the Biblical definition of 'antichrist'.

As for the "Beast", I believe if you researched Nero, you will find many parallels. This is a guy who proclaimed himself to be the "Savior of the World" and persecuted Christians.

Not at you. Making fun of the concept of hidden Biblical messages in general.

Personally, I believe that the "end times" began the day that Christ ascended into Heaven and we are not necessarily more likely to see Christ's return than any other generation before us was. Few people disgust me more than the Jack Van Impe's of the world who feed off this Christian End of Days paranoia, pointing to current events as signs that fit this Scripture and that Scripture and that "the end is nigh" and "the Antichrist is upon us". Take even a cursory look at the last two thousand years and you'll find that those same passages could also have fit multiple events that occurred throughout history.

We would be far better off if we were as concerned with the world we're in as opposed to the end of it.
