they are slick cars and leave it to the all knowing General Motors to try and bring this type of car to the American market in a recession

if the price is right yes...if i was to buy a car today it would be 3 brands....volvo, acura, infinity i'm also partial tot he new malibu or g8 being that they are holdens.

Your 3 brands are spot on....I just got an 05 RL and it changed my life...all wheel drive and about every technology feature a nerd like myself would die for

i offered them 500 more than what they gave him for a trade in assuming they would probablly counteroffer 1000. ...they did and i took it. i have no problem with them making some money...just not too much.

well....in actuality, the sales guy came out with a postit with the number on it. he called and i talked to the guy then....then when i got home i called him again (the guy sat the post it note within view long enough for me to memorize the last 4 digits) and thanked him for talking with me earlier and i asked him some other questions....then sprung it on him....

My dream car is actually the CJ8 Scrambler.

First off, my roommate at LU bought at Grand National new back in the Late '80s. We were the kings of Wards Rd back then (Old Hag reference).

I am a big Acura fan myself and if I didn't have a complete aversion to car payments I would probably be driving one right now.

The Willy and the CJ8 were my dream rides growing up in Appalachia. I admit I'd still love to have the former but it doesn't exactly fit well in my current life.

At some point we'll become a minivan family (yeah, that was me driving that Sienna around campus this week ... But it belongs to my dad). My wife is fighting the minivan mystique kicking & screaming so we continue rolling in gas-guzzling SUVs.

Oh yeah, saw the F&F trailer a week or so ago during the Coraline experience we've been trying to purge from our memories. I like the fact that they don't even pretend like the plot is going to be good. I respect movies that are upfront about their intentions. Looks like a fun use of 90 minutes or so.

Yeah, SUV's are so much cooler. Probably around 150 times cooler. But for a family of 4 or more, there is just no comparison when you take coolness out of the equation. The seating, the cargo, entertainment features are all designed for someone in your situation. Since the dawn of time, families have tried to find a way around owning a minivan with various types of wagons and hybrids but they are just not as practical. Don't fight it. Just give in. Nobody thinks less of you if they see you in one, you just feel a lot less cool.

I'll take a minivan over a wagon any day.

Minivan = Compromise

Wagon = Unconditional Surrender

Unless you can snag yourself a conversion van. Now that's a win, they're like mini motor homes.

As much as I would like a conversion van, I'd be less likely to trust you with my children if you had one.

haha. that made me think of demetri martins bit about the van, and how it had to be the best day in every creeps life. They saw it and were like "hmm that thing is ugly. Wait. A room with no windows that moves. excellent.

the first one was one too many. i saw five minutes of the first one and that was enough for me to conclude it was 100% horse manure.

Eh. I view it the other way around. I'm still waiting for Acura/Honda to bring this to America...

It's basically a TL wagon, but in other countries it's called the Accord.
