Another thing, just as a point of reference, SCREAM at Coastal is by far the most organized an dbest travelling group of any in the Big South. Last year there were something around 70-100 members (closer to 70 the first semester). That just gives you an idea of how big this club is.

Hey SJ, speaking of traveling- is the club planning on getting buses together or promote students traveling to any games, and is the school or regular Flames Club going to help subsidize the cost?

I'd bet if LU split the cost w/ the kids that want to go, you could end up doing it for less than 15-20 bucks per head (assuming LU picked up the other 15-20 bucks per)

yea they got that u suck chant from when longwood beat us. their fans did that. they also did the funniest chant i ever herd with "past your curfew" hahahaha... they also got on jeremy pretty bad that game too

I'm pretty sure the students didn't get "Hey! You suck!" from Longwood. Every school across the country uses that.


Medic, the only trip I know of is Wake. I'd love to go to Coastal but I don't know if it'll happen. I think I remember hearing something that the Flames Club was going to do some stuff at Towson and Wake Forest.

it would be great if the school/Flames Club really started to promote travelling.

It would be great for team morale, and understanding how poor college kids are- it would only require a minimal investment on the part of LU to get a great return.

If you sent 3 bus loads of kids, the students kicked in 15 to 20 $ and the school picked up 15 bucks a piece it would probably cost less than 1000 bucks total. thats not bad, IMHO

A few wins will go a long way in getting the students fired up enough to want to travel. I am sure most will take the "wait and see" attitude.

I agree. I've felt like Coastal would get people anyways because it's the beach in late October. Plus they're the 2 time conference champs. We'll hafta wait and see how the Wake trip goes.
