New bill going through the Illinois legislature. It would require all gun owners to purchase at least a $1 million insurance policy in order to have a firearm license. The bill would also make gun owners liable if their gun is stolen and then used in a crime.

I was listening to a lawyer the other day on some show I was watching and he mentioned that the Bill of Rights not only protects the government from directly prohibiting these rights from us but also prohibits them from legislating to the point where it's unreasonable for someone to have the right. I think I said that right. Anyway, if that interpretation is already common thought, it gives you hope against things like that. I guess all it would take is for one judge to murky up what constitutes being "unreasonable" though.

Also, because of this thread and subsequent research, whenever I get a gun it will most likely be one of those.
