Everyone has them, whether it's getting dressed a certain way, or whatever. Let's hear some of them.

I always have to label my music the same way. Yes, I download music. I generally download things a full cd at a time. I always have to label the folder of the album the same way. That way is Band Name (Year It Came Out) - Title of Album. Then, I always have to have the songs themselves labeled a certain way. It's always Track # - Title. It doesn't end there. I then have to make sure the file info that shows up on Winamp and my cd player is grammatically correct. Yes, I'm weird, but that's just a habbit of how I file my music.

Another thing here at home is when I'm walking down the steps, I tend to tap on the wall once or twice on the way down.

I also have a pattern of things I do when I get online. It's generally e-mail, FlameFans, Myspace, Facebook, Uni Watch, and a vast array of other message boards.

Ok, your turn.

I yell at my kids when they get on my nerves only to apologize again for not controlling my temper.
I forget to move my seat back in the car and my husband hits his knees almost every time.
I lose my keys because I never put them in the same place twice.(I have a key ring!)
I have many more but can't remember them all!

When playing golf, I must put the ball on the tee in my hand and then put the tee in the ground. If the ball falls off, I must pull the tee out of the ground and do it again.

The sight/sound of people rubbing the palms of their hands together sets my nerves on edge. The same with #2 pencil erasers that have worn down to the metal rim. However, fingernails on a chalkboard doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Do not touch my head. Ever. Under any circumstances.

Everyday, I sit down at the computer and visit my favorite sites in the exact same order. This site is 10th on that list.

When buying groceries, eggs and bread must be bagged in their own bags, separately from everything else unless they are bagged w/ each other. If they are together, the bread must go on top of the eggs. I will not eat crushed bread.

A food's texture is more important to me than what it actually tastes like. I will not eat "gummy food. I will not eat "squishy" food unless it is in pie form, at which point, the pie crust must be crisp and flaky.

I am not talking to myself. I am externalizing one side of the imaginary conversation in my head.

When eating bite-size foods (candy, small fruit, snacks, etc.,), I must eat an odd number of them. If I go back for more, I must eat exactly four more because the resulting total snack intake must also be an odd number and 4 is the only acceptable even number.

I loathe the metric system for no discernible reason.

Some while back, my handwriting changed from cursive script to standard lettering and then to small caps. I don't know why.

On each bicuspid, most people have 2 branching nerves. I have 3. My dentist and I found that out the hard way.

The pupils in my eyes are slightly larger than the average person's. A bright, sunny day to you is nearly blinding to me. On the flip side, my night vision is pretty good.

I used to be absolutely neurotic about washing my hands until I had a child.

I carry a pair of fingernail clippers in my pocket b/c I cannot abide snags or hangnails. (This one is probably genetic b/c my dad also does this and my toddler is pretty adamant about no hangnails either.)

I think that you would hate me if we were ever around eachother for more than 5 minutes.

I will give you the hangnail thing. My nightmare is having one on my big toe and puting socks on. It seems to happen at least once a month and I fell like I'm gonna die when that sock just starts to grab it.

can relate to Cheer's 1st comment-annoyance/guilt cycle
The movies "As Good as it Gets" with Nicholson and Hunt and "Aviator" come to mind.
BTW, Cheer, my husband just changes my mirrors in the car.
When I worked in grocery store, a mngr. used to call me Martha (Stewart), say OCD, and tell me I would have an anuerism (is that sp. right, Medic?). Even the mngr. were lax in rotating everything, making sure we had everything to meet customer needs.... I hated having to throw away all those perfectly good specialty sandwiches each night. When I cashiered, I couldn't stand the typical chat and do nothing during down times- I washed my belt, got supplies, etc. I had customers remark that they'd want me working for them- I was nitpicky abt. price checks, etc. BTW, Libertine (can't shorten your name or it would sound like you're on the far left), I was an excellent OCD bagger, but little elderly people w/ hangups abt. eggs got on my nerves- at least you'll allow bread on top of them. Even now, I can't stand baggers putting my potatoes and such in a plastic bag when they already have one; I haven't bought trash bags in forever b/c baggers are so lame and give me too many. As the register tape came up from a long order, I'd fold it neatly. Couldn't stand the contests they had for fastest cashiers b/c I knew I was but customers would slow me down (got stuck on reg. on end so I'd have to start while belt was just being loaded) plus quirky things like bottom belt not working. Baggers standing at another reg. waiting for work when groceries were flying down mine :x Enough for now.

Jas, my first job in high school was bagging groceries. Maybe I had too many old ladies snap at me and that's why I'm so picky about bread and eggs.
