Cruel Summer was an Ace of Base song.

Everybody is right...Bananarama was the original group that did that song (and had it featured in Karate Kid), but Ace of Base did cover it later....

I just happened to stumble upon this thread by accident.

Here are my all time favorites

Old Bands; Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Queensryche, and Metallica
New Bands: Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, Dark Tranquillity, and In Flames
Sometimes these bands turn me on (Although they should not) due to the dark lyrics and gory album covers:
Cannibal Corpse, Decapitated, Suffocation, Sinister, and Dismember (Just don't mind the lyrics or the album covers)

Stevev!!!!!!! I've just completely changed my opinion about you. Any song that they've made that doesnt have screaming in it is pure gold. And even some that do. I thought to myself, I wish that there was a band exactly like In Flames, with their 80s guitar rock style, that actually sang instead of screamed. And I have found them my friend. Have you ever heard of Dragon Force? They don't take themselves very seriously but they're probably one of my favorite bands right now. http:///www.myspace.com/dragonforce Listen to some of their songs. If you're not into that type of music, which apparently you are, the insanely fast drum beat takes a little bit to get used to.

Thanks for the link UConn. I will check it out when I get home tonight. I have heard of the band (Dragon Force) but right now can't relate to their music. In-Flames is an awesome band. The best in Swedish metal. Their 2 best CD's are Colony and Claymen due to variety and great guitar work. High energy stuff! Their current material is a little watered down but still good. Check them out sometimes.
