OPEC just cut production 1.5 million barrels of oil per day. Even with the announcement, the cost of a barrel of oil continued to slide. It opened at $63/barrel today. Remember, the high was $147/barrel in July. I just filled up my car this morning and paid $2.29/gallon at the pump. While I'm not excited about paying that much, I like the downward pricing trend.

The market stops for 1 hour if it drops 1,100 points before 2:30 PM...at least thats what they said on FOXNews this morning. In other news, gas is now at $2.73 in Wyndhurst.

Now, from June 1st to September 15th, there is an extra step and some locales are forced to go with what's called 'special blend' of gas, which ostensibly is designed to reduce pollution. It is, of course, more expensive. Now that it's almost the fall, you should see a drop in prices soon.

I just wanted to point out that, like every other time I post, I was right about this.

I paid $2.09/gallon in OKC last night. Gas actually dropped below $2.00 in some locations around the city.
