...our pastor approached us this sunday and basically said that we were unanimously recommended to teach the class.

we are apart of the homebuilders class. its taught by one of the associates. the couples in there range from 25-40. there is also an offshoot of the class called the newlywed class. its a 2 year program and after 2 years they get funnelled into the homebuilders class. this class is taught by our missionary/pastor interns.

well the intern is on his last month. we are also oming up on the end of year 1. he'll be leaving on deputation and they need someone to finish out the year.

usually another intern comes in on the heals of the previous ones departure....however we are looking for a youth pastor (our previous one is a moron...i'll leave it at that) and another pastor so we didn't want to compound it with looking for another intern. so the program got put on hold...

ok well anyways...

the pastor who teaches the homebuilders class recommended us for it (i assume hes just tired of me cutting up and making jokes in class all the time) and the intern recommended us as well...


my wife is concerned though...the first question i asked pastor was like "do i get to teach on doing it?"...

in all seriousness...

i told pastor we'd pray about it. but when i thought about it and DID pray about it i remembered something that my dad told me once....its ok to pray about it, but there comes a time when you have to stop praying and start doing...if its not were God wants you, he'll tell you.

and if Pastor, one of the people i respect most, wants us and we are recommended by 2 other pastors...i don't know if it needs much prayer....i think God has made it pretty clear...


i also hope that it will help me as well. i've only been married 5 years and while some of this will be review it will be good review as in "have you been actually doing this" it will help me reevaluate what i'm doing for our marriage. if that makes any sense...

Well, since she hasn't left you, I'd say she's probably the best candidate. Our church had a married couples class for a while. It was pretty awesome. But then it just went away.
