yeah- my perspective has shifted from "sweet ride" to: "Will this one kill my back when I'm getting the kids in and outta their car seats?" and "how many groceries can I fit in there with my work gear still in the back?"

My viewpoint didn't have kids in it, but the things I took into consideration:

a) I drive a crap-ton for work, meaning I need something that's comfortable and has decent gas mileage.
b) I'm the one that always drives for road trips, meaning I needed room for my friends.
c) We're remodeling my house. I need something that has room to bring transport stuff.
d) I like Jeeps.
e) The Patriot wasn't out yet.
