So, picture this. You're headed to the grandparents for thanksgiving and realize that you're empty-handed and didn't bring anything. You swerve in to the local grocery store/bakery and head for the cake/pie section...


...what do you grab as your favorite after-thanksgiving snack?

For me--it is now and will forever be, the Boston Creme Pie. God bless the man that decided to put chocolate frosting, vanilla pudding (or whatever that mystery goodness is) with cake together.

I swear, if anyone mentions fruit cake, I'll shut this baby down. Bring out the goods.

Strawberry (which was not cooked on Thanksgiving) or Pumpkin (which was, unfortunately, the oven broke down before it was cooked).

However, I will add that I did have an after-dinner delicassy (spelling check) -- I was introduced to "sweet potatoes", something my northern self has never enjoyed until now. The wife loaded it up with marshmallows and brown sugar -- who couldn't go for that?
