For a thanksgiving dessert, pumpkin pie is a must...

But for all other occasions, a good key lime pie is always good. Though as others have said already, pretty much all pie is good pie.

AMEN! Key lime pie rocks.

And I make a semi award-winning key lime cheesecake.

...what do you grab as your favorite after-thanksgiving snack?

For me--it is now and will forever be, the Boston Creme Pie. God bless the man that decided to put chocolate frosting, vanilla pudding (or whatever that mystery goodness is) with cake together.

I swear, if anyone mentions fruit cake, I'll shut this baby down. Bring out the goods.
Strawberry (which was not cooked on Thanksgiving) or Pumpkin (which was, unfortunately, the oven broke down before it was cooked).

However, I will add that I did have an after-dinner delicassy (spelling check) -- I was introduced to "sweet potatoes", something my northern self has never enjoyed until now. The wife loaded it up with marshmallows and brown sugar -- who couldn't go for that?

strawberry rubarb. I haven't had it in many years. I think we've had this discussion before. It was mainly about the lack of rubarb in this area.

I'll eat pretty much anything that comes in a pie shell but my favorite pie of all time:

Hamburger Pie

It is exactly what it sounds like. Meat and pie.

Hamburger Pie
Any mashed potatoes or corn involved? Some call that a Shepherd's pie.

Ever seen a meat cake? Layers of ground beef iced with mashed potatoes. My buddy Josh got one for his birthday.

Yes, that's a ketchup glaze.

I've seen potatoes added for consistency but my favorite is a mix of Spanish rice and ketchup.

That plus hamburger sounds like the insides of stuffed bell peppers--which certainly is NOT a pie. :nono

It is if you bake it in a pie shell. Which is kind of what I've been saying all along.
